Night rises and approaches.

NIGHT:

Leave the girl. You can take him away.

Night takes Lola's pistol from the soldier and studies it deliberately slowly, twirling it in his hands.

Bunyod will be taken out of the room. Next to Lola, he looks at her. Lola at him. There are tears in her eyes.

BUNYOD (QUIETLY) Sorry.

LOLA (ALSO QUIETLY)

You too.

They'll take him away. Lola closes her eyes. Tears will roll down from her eyelashes. She let everyone down. Feels bad about it.

She looks at Night, who is holding a gun in his hands, looking at Lola with raised eyebrows.

NIGHT (POINTING THE GUN AT HER)

Do you know why you lost? You're too arrogant like other people.

Looking to the side will start walking back and forth. And Lola slowly walks sideways towards the glowing circle.

NIGHT:

They, too, were sure that the planet would not answer to them for the evil they had done. You think I'm a villain. Yes, I created a poison with a virus-like consistency. No one will distinguish it from the virus. Otherwise they wouldn't have believed me. The first thing I did was to gain their trust. Saved people from the coronavirus while working on the poison. I could create a new virus or leave it as it is. But more people could have died than planned. And I want to get rid of only a third of the world's population. I had to get rid of an entire city so that people would believe me. Yes, I did evil. But I'm protecting the Earth. Look around. Thanks to me, the Earth is now clean. Almost. There's just nothing left. But this is also a temporary matter. People can be tamed only when they are assured that it is for their own good. And when they live within strict limits. They learn to live here properly without killing the planet.

Looks at Lola.

NIGHT:

Do you think this is bad?

LOLA:

You think about the planet, but you forget about the people.

NIGHT (INTERRUPTING HER RAISES HIS TONE)

Just as people have always forgotten the planet. People don't care about the earth that carries them, feeds them, on animals, on everything, even on their own. They watch children starve to death and continue to be born. They console themselves with the fact that not everyone can be helped and others don't care either. They kill animals for fun. The Black Book was filled with the sight of animals that had disappeared from the Earth forever. Factories and cars polluted the air, because of garbage on the oceans, all living things began to die out. Do you think the Coronavirus has come to your time in vain? Because it all started in your time. People, having everything possible, began to want the impossible. They wanted to become like their own kind.

Lola is moving towards the glowing circle slowly and is almost approaching.

NIGHT:

They started behaving like who knows who. And for this they produced the wrong thing. When they were warned about a possible outcome, they waved them off, saying that life is one and it definitely won't affect them. I am helping the earth in revenge. I'm purging her of a virus called man. And you can stop me.

He looks at Farrukh, who is looking at him with wide-open eyes. He didn't expect Knight to be like this.

NIGHT:

I could have killed you back then, in your time. With Farrukh's hands. But I don't want to get his hands dirty with blood. It's enough that mine is dirty. But I don't regret it. Therefore-

He looks in the direction of Lola and shoots a pistol. The bullet enters the circle and after 3 seconds comes out and wounds Night in the stomach. Night lifts his wide-open eyes to Lola and falls. BLACKOUT

Lola quickly runs up to him and takes the gun from him. Checks his pulse, he's dead. She raises the gun to throw it aside. A glowing circle appears, then a smiling Night from the past. The smile fades from his face. He looks at his body lying on the floor and at Lola's hand. Then at her face. Clenching his fists and playing with his muscles, he takes a step forward and then back. Clicking on the hands of the black stone disappears. Farrukh is still in shock. He realized that Night was wrong and Lola had nothing to do with it. Lola also understands this and looks at Farrukh.

LOLA (VOICE-OVER) Farrukh didn't know about Night's plans. He promised to fix what the professor had destroyed. True, the lives taken away cannot be brought back. But I believe him, because Bunyod will be next to him.

There is a shot of the gate, people are looking at the street.

INT. ROOM WITH GLASS WINDOWS

Farrukh and Bunyod look at the people coming out.

FARRUKH (LOOKING AT THE PEOPLE BELOW)

Do you think it was worth telling them the truth?

BUNYOD:

The truth won't make them feel any better. Let them think that we have defeated the virus. It's better than finding out that you've been cheated all your life.

Turns to him. The spiritual ones are coming from the desert towards the city, they are smiling.

INT. ROOM KNIGHT GLOWING CIRCLE – DAY

Bunyod, Lola and Farrukh are standing. Bunyod frowns, he avoids looking at Lola. Farrukh says something. Lola looks at Bunyod without taking her eyes off.

FARRUKH:

It is impossible to interfere in the affairs of time. I warned him.

He waves his hand in front of Lola's face.

FARRUKH:

Hey, are you listening to me at all?

Lola looks at him.

FARRUKH:

I'm serious, Lola. You have only one way. You're going to go to your own time and start a new life, okay? Try to forget about everything like a dream. Don't tell anyone about this. We don't exist in your time.

Farrukh points with his eyes at Bunyod.

FARRUKH:

For your own good. Forget about everything. You have no way back. The time machine gives passage only once to the future and once to the past.

Lola looks at Buned. So this is the last meeting. She's sad. Buned doesn't look at her. Tears appear in Lola's eyes.

LOLA Bunyod.

Bunyod abruptly turns away.

LOLA:

Bunyod, please. Look at me. I want to talk to you. Perhaps for the last time.

Bunyod turns abruptly to Lola. He's in pain.

BUNYOD (IN A HARSH TONE)

Go away, you don't belong here.

Lola recoils back. Farrukh does manipulations with artificial intelligence on a time machine. The circle begins to glow brighter. He is embarrassed by their conversation.

FARRUKH (FEIGNING CHEERFULNESS)

That's all. You're going back the same time you got here. Definitely in a different place. I'm sorry for that, of course.

He smiles guiltily. Lola smiles back. Looks at Bunyod and goes in his direction. He takes a step back.

LOLA (WITH PAIN IN HER VOICE) Why?

She stops.

BUNYOD (LOOKING DOWN) Sorry.

Lola nods and lowers her head. She understood. She walks slowly towards the circle and cries. Turns around for the last time. Bunyod walks quickly towards her. Opens Lola's palm and puts an old letter there. He closes it, looks at Lola with tears in his eyes and pushes her into the circle.

darkness

For a second.

INT. MODERN OFFICE CORRIDOR

Lola opens her eyes. EMPLOYEES walk back and forth in suits and folders of documents on their hands. A 35-YEAR-OLD MAN notices Lola and walks towards her.

MAN:

Hey, who are you? Where did you came from? What are you doing here?

Lola is silent and stands looking down. Tears are dripping from her eyes.

MAN (LOOKING TO THE SIDE SHOUTING) Security.

Lola starts to sob her voice and pull out her hair. He falls to his knees. The man awkwardly approaches and sitting down takes her by the shoulders and strokes them.

MAN (WITH A SLIGHTLY SOFT TONE)

Hey, what's wrong with you? Did something happen to you? Is there anything I can help you with? Can I call you an ambulance?

Lola continues to sob. BLACKOUT

INT. HOSPITAL WARD – EVENING

Lola is lying in bed. She lies and looks at the ceiling. The DOCTOR comes in and looking at her smiles gently.

DOCTOR:

How are you feeling?

LOLA (WITH A HOARSE VOICE) Normal.

DOCTOR:

You had a nervous breakdown and we sedated you. You slept for about a day. Are you feeling better already?

LOLA Yes, thank you.

DOCTOR (CAUTIOUSLY) May I ask what happened to you?

LOLA:

Nothing. Simply. It's accumulated at work.

DOCTOR (SIGHING) Okay, rest up.

LOLA:

I'd like to go home, it's already easier for me.

DOCTOR:

Well, then take care of your nerves and do not forget to fill out the questionnaire before leaving.

Lola nods, and the doctor goes out.

INT. REGISTRATION

Next, Lola stands near the registration and fills out a questionnaire. A GIRL IN A WHITE COAT writes down her data. At the end, she attracts an old letter.
