GIRL:
You dropped this when you were being driven here.
LOLA Thank you.
She picks it up and swallows it. Tears appear in her eyes. Leaves the hospital and
ext. THE STREET
will stop A taxi.
LOLA (LOOKING INSIDE) To Broadway.
INT. MACHINE
She sits down. Crying. It's raining outside.
DRIVER (LOOKING AT THE BACK SEAT THROUGH THE MIRROR) Are you okay?
LOLA (ROUGHLY)
Yes. Please leave me alone.
THE DRIVER (AWKWARDLY) Sorry.
Looks at the road. He felt uncomfortable. After 2 seconds of silence.
LOLA:
Sorry. Simply. Now is not the time to talk.
THE DRIVER (SMILING AWKWARDLY)
I understand, it happens. I'll turn on the radio if you want.
Lola nods. A song is playing on the radio.
THE VOICE (SINGS) It's a pity that it passed. And we were left alone. But I have to go ahead. I'll hug you in my imagination. And in your future and in my past. We'll meet for a moment. And I will love you all my life.
Lola cries even harder. The driver switches to another channel.
ANOTHER VOICE (SINGING)
On the edge of the future. Two will meet. Our hearts are forever with love.
Looking at Lola through the mirror, the driver switches to another channel. He's embarrassed.
ANOTHER VOICE (SINGING)
Time goes by fast when it's not necessary. It's like it's laughing at me. After all, I want more than I need. To be with you longer.
Switches again.
VOICE (SINGING) Give me a sign that you love me. Let me know and I'll stay here. But you but you but you keep being stubborn. And I'm proud.
The driver looks apologetically at Lola, and she sobs out loud. He turns off the radio. The last song is playing in the background. It will get louder. Lola is crying. BLACKOUT
INT. LOLA'S APARTMENT
Lola comes in. Leaning against the door, she closes her eyes, slowly sinks to the floor and sits down. Opens the letter. Starts reading. And covering her mouth with her hand, she begins to cry even harder.
GRANDMA (VOICE-OVER)
Dear grandson, it started in your time. Do you know why we called you that? Because in the future you are building a new world where people will live in peace and prosperity.
A frame where Bunyod helps people to read. Spiritual people teach people everything. Bunyod stands looking at them. His hands are at his sides. He is proud of their work.
GRANDMA (VOICE-OVER)
A girl from the past will help you with this. Don't give your feelings a chance. It's impossible.
Lola reads and we see a long letter.
GRANDMA (BS'S VOICE)
Remember there is no virus. You have to believe only the chosen ones. Don't believe the indicative. Your great-grandmother Lola. I know it's hard to believe, so I'll attach here your photo taken by me in your time. Sorry.
Lola takes a photo from the back where Bunyod is sitting near the campfire. Aziz and Madina are sitting next to each other. They laugh and look at each other. Lola remembers.
INT. BATHING
Lola gropes for her phone in her pocket. Turns on the screen, it's still working.
INT. NEAR THE CAMPFIRE
People are sitting. Everyone laughs. Only Bunyod is sitting seriously. Unnoticed by everyone, she takes out her phone and takes a picture of them.
INT. LOLA'S APARTMENT
Lola takes her phone out of her pants pocket and turns on the screen, enters the gallery. Exactly the same photo stands as on her hands. She's looking at us. She's in shock. Is she really his grandmother?
INT. LOLA'S APARTMENT – NIGHT
Lola, hiding in a blanket, moves around the apartment slowly and reaches her room,
INT. LOLA'S ROOM IS CHANGED – THE NIGHT
takes a chest from the closet and opens it with a key. She strokes the photo and takes it out. The letter is there in the trunk. She sits on her knees. Hugs the photo. Crying.
Lola, in the form of environmental support volunteers, waters the trees and then bleaches them.
EXT. PARK – EVENING
Lola is walking. Looks at the road. People around are happy, eating ice cream, children are shouting, playing, riding on swings, talking to each other, someone is on the phone. Smiling. Sighs, looks at people and stops in place.
She looks with her eyes wide open. She's in shock. Bunyod comes out of the crowd and smiles, his mouth wide open, showing his teeth. Lola understands that it's not him. She's disappointed.
BUNYOD (LOOKING HIMSELF UP AND DOWN AND SMILING GOOD-NATUREDLY)
Do I look so scary? Hello, by the way. My name is Davron, glad to meet you.
He holds out his hand.
LOLA:
Lola
Lola shakes his hand in return.
DAVRON:
I saw you walking alone and thought maybe we could go for a ride together? Here's the thing. My friends have dumped me, that is, they won't be able to come.
He grins. Lola smiles back.
LOLA (SIGHING) Ok, come on.
They are walking towards the swing. They ride the roller coaster and start laughing out loud.
Lola looks away and stops laughing. Far away near the trees stands Bunyod in grayish clothes. He's looking at us. Lola too. Davron turns there and looks at Lola. He doesn't see Bunyod.
DAVRON:
Hey, are you all right?
Lola looks at him and smiles.
LOLA Yes, just thinking.
Davron smiles. Lola looks towards the trees. There is no one.
LOLA (WK) I
t's necessary. It would be better for him.
BLACKOUT:
INT.ROOM – DAY
Sunlight evenly penetrates through a slightly ajar window. The wind curls the light curtains. We slowly see the light wallpaper.
As the show progresses, it becomes clear that this is the room of an old woman under 80.
Slowly we see pictures of Lola in different photos. In the first photo we see her smiling broadly and joyfully, in the second she is in an embrace with her husband, her husband hugs her standing with his back to the photo, here she also smiles, but a little more restrained.
On the third, her daughters aged about 7-8 and Lola aged about 35, with her husband all smiling and standing in an embrace, the children in the middle are joyful, they have no front teeth.
In the next photo, she is about 55-56 years old, standing in an embrace with her daughters aged about 28-29 years and two granddaughters. In the next photo, she is aged 78-79 years old, sitting and smiling happily holding a baby in her arms.
In the next photo there is a smiling boy aged 3-4 years.
We're moving on quickly. There are a lot of green flowers in pots in the room. Two armchairs and one rocking chair. A small coffee table. There are cookies baked by hand on the table. And there is a knitted handkerchief on the rocking chair.
Grandma Lola, aged 82-83, is watering the flowers in the room. With shaking hands from old age, he wipes the dust from the leaves of flowers. Next to her, a boy helps her, he waters the flowers with a small toy watering can. They look at each other and Lola strokes his face. He looks at her smiling. The sun penetrates and brightly illuminates their face.
End.
