INT. TV–VIDEO CLIP

NIGHT (FILMING HIMSELF ON CAMERA, LOOKING AT US)

The virus is spread by airborne droplets and the mortality rate is 98% out of 100 cases. My team and I are studying this, but it is dangerous. I ask all people to be careful. Observe quarantine.

MAN (LOOKING AT THE SCREEN) Is it that serious?

GUY (17 YEARS OLD SITTING NEXT TO HIM AND LOOKING AT HIM) Who is it?

THE MAN (SHRUGGING HIS SHOULDERS)

He's from Goodwin's team, now works instead of him.

GUY Is the guy the Goodwin who found the corona vaccine?

The man nods. The guy looks at the screen.

ANOTHER VIDEO CLIP. They show a hospital bed. People are dying, suffocating. One MAN is suffocating heavily and sitting on the floor with his hands is calling others. He lies on his side and dies. In another place, people are falling one by one. There are NURSES AND DOCTORS NEXT TO them. They're dying too.

VIDEO CLIP. Night steps out of a black square plane and shakes hands with the PRESIDENT, aged 40, in a suit. There are people in suits behind him. His GUARDS. They are coming.

INT. MEETING ROOM

Night stands on the corner of the table and shows the project of building a long wall around the cities. The president nods and looks at the project. At the end, they shake hands.

SOUTHERN TOWN

The doors are closed with signs about quarantine.

NEWS JOURNALIST (B.S. WORRIED)

A whole town died out from a new virus.

EXT. UNFINISHED WALLS

Construction is underway.

EXT. A MOMENT LATER – THE WALLS ARE BUILT LONG AND HIGH Next to the gate, people come in under the supervision of a guard with a gun. Everyone is wearing masks.

INT. LABORATORY

Nurses examine A MAN UNDER 40, A WOMAN AT 27, A 5-year-old CHILD and an old man under 70. The man is released. At the exit, he is given a security badge. He leaves with a uniformed and masked guard. The guard pats him on the shoulder and hugs him. They leave together.

A woman with a child walks towards other women and children.

The old man's device shows a plus. The nurse looks at him and will call security. At the beginning of the script there was such a situation. Take the same situation. How he is taken away.

INT. VAN CAR

The old man will be put together with other PEOPLE IN OLD AGE next to a doctor and a nurse. People with their eyes wide open look at each other. The guard closes the door of the van and gives a sign to go.

EXT. CAMP

People get out of the van and slowly walk towards the tents. The old man also goes along with the others holding his things in his hands. The guard takes him to one of the tents of 6 places. Others are already sitting on the beds, he also goes to the middle and sits down. Another van is coming. The guards come out and drag ready-made food and water in large and small bottles. PEOPLE IN THE CAMP are throwing themselves on food and water. The old man looks at all this, and people push him and pass by. Still people come running and pounce on food and water. They eat standing up straight. They're hungry. The old man and those who have just come with him look at all this with their eyes wide open and their jaws hanging open. They didn't expect this.

INT. MEETING ROOM DAY

The president is sitting. He frowns. Angry. He found out the truth.

THE PRESIDENT (FROWNING AND SHOUTING)

You promised to find a vaccine, but instead you're sending people to camps!

NIGHT (IN AN IMPERTURBABLE TONE AND CALMLY) For their own good.

THE PRESIDENT (CONTINUES)

Where according to my people there are no amenities.

NIGHT I understand, but I'm doing my best.

THE PRESIDENT:

No you don't. How do you answer the question why people don't die? Or is there no virus after all?

NIGHT (NERVOUSLY) What makes you think that?

The President looks at him in silence. Pause. Night sighs and rubs his eyes. Looks at the president.

NIGHT (CLOSING HIS EYES AND WHISPERING)

So it's time to say goodbye to you.

He leaves the room.

THE PRESIDENT (RISING FROM HIS SEAT AND SHOUTING)

You don't have the right to leave like this without answering! You have to report to me! I am the head of this people!

Night is already out, but the president's words are heard to the end. He stops at the door and gives a sign to the guards. He closes his eyes with his fingers. He rubs his forehead and head. The guard is talking on an earpiece. Night leaves. On the way, we see 4 guards with a gun running towards the room. Through the dark windows, shots can be seen and a hit on the silhouette of the president and his people. Subsides. Security comes in and more shots are visible. This time, 4 guards who have just entered fall. The guard goes out and locks the door. Looks away. Corrects the form. BLACKOUT

INT. WALLS AROUND THE CITY

Night nods his head at the guards. The guard speaks into the headphones.

INT. CONTROL POINT

The guard answers into the headphones. And he looks at his people. On us. He looks with his eyes wide open. Walking back and forth. Stops. He doesn't know what to do. But an order is an order. Gives a hand indication.

EXT. CITY GATES

They are closing.

EXT. WATER UTILITY

It's closing. The water stops coming out.

EXT. CAMP

People are standing and looking towards the walls. We look at them. Their lips are cracked. They're hungry. BLACKOUT

INT. WALL INSIDE THE CITY

They show a video clip. People stop and look at the screen. They show the camp. People in the camps are dying and everyone who was nearby, too. Nurses and doctors. In the next frame, a masked guard walks around and checks the pulse of some lying people. He shakes his head. People watching all this start crying.

Night's face appears on the screen.

NIGHT (SADLY)

I'm sorry. This virus has destroyed many lives. For your own good, stay at your homes. It's safe inside the city here. Observe hygiene. Keep your distance from the sick. Go through the inspection. This virus is dangerous. Outside, it flies in the air. That's why we can't open the gate yet. We will work on a vaccine. Unfortunately, there are no results yet. I promise that soon we will find a vaccine and start a new life. In the meantime, be careful.

EXT. BEHIND THE WALLS

Time changes quickly.

The plants are drying up. The water disappears. Animals too. The drought begins. Deserts appear.

Several men over 60 are hunting for a running fox. They kill with a hand-made arrow made of wood and one of them throws it over his shoulder. Everyone has small animals on their shoulders. They're tired. They are walking towards the camp.
