The camera views flint moving more inside the forest. He finds a tree and leans on it. he hears a voice and start going deeper till he falls down and roll over.

57EXT - STUDENTS AT THE POLICE CHECK POINT- DAY

Police stops the bus at the check point, beside the place where the police and robbers, had a gun duel. The police search the school bus. Two soldiers that accompany the students asked about the person they are looking for (inaudible). They start to go. Eric and Mimi continue with their discussion as the bus zoom off.

58EXT - FOREST - DAY

The camera opens on flint waking up. he opens his eyes surprise to see scout members circles around him. With sticks and knives. The leader comes closer. Staring at him, he touches him to relax for the wound to heal. There were leaves on his body. he falls back to sleep

LIGHT FADES.

59INT - POLICE CUSTODY - NIGHT

Police torturing a suspect. The suspect phone rings and shows boss from the caller. One of the police gives the phone to their leader. He picks it and did not talk as well as the caller. The phone hangs and police check some messages on the phone with the boss name. He searches for the number and dial it with his phone, sir Rochas appears. He deletes the message, stands up and goes back to the inner room to see the suspect.

INSPECTOR:

It’s ok... take him inside and clean him up... release him

The police stands and stare at inspector casey as he gives the phone back to the suspect and goes out of the police unit.

60 EXT – ROCHAS MANSION - DAY

Sir Rochas making call

ROCHAS:

Police van and officers everywhere close to my company... no road for my trade... the only way is abuba forest

61EXT - RESERVE CENTER - DAY

The camera zooms on the school bus, coming into the reserve center. The driver packs as the students starts coming down from the bus.

62INT - RESERVE CENTER HALL - DAY - CONTINUOUS

The soldier takes the student down to the hall, where they will be staying. One of the soldiers calls out their names and assigns bunks to the 16 students with their bags and equipments. Oscar calls out the cooking lists too for all the girls. Oscar assigns provision of fire wood to Eric and Sam. they arrange the hall and rests while Mimi and Eric at Sam’s corner discussing. Some brings out their text book reading while Gilbert is praying his rosary.

63EXT - RESERVE CAMP - NIGHT

On a carnival night, the students beating their drums... Eric and Mimi dances while others gather and clap for them. Bosa with his friends at the other side watching...

The policemen also move close to the big Abuba forest and searches round the forest.

68EXT - RESERVE CENTER - DAY CONTINUOUS

The inspector, discussing with the soldier that accompany the students.

INSPECTOR:

we get information that criminals use the forest as their residential home.

SOLDIER:

(mimic) is that so? Your men are trying. They are looking for a thief who escaped or are they searching for the whole criminals in our hall.

INSPECTOR:

You only know your job. You don’t teach me mine. We know best on how to give believing reports.

SOLDIER:

What happened? How did he escape?

POLICE:

Sir the forest is cleared. No living soul found.

INSPECTOR:

Turns to the soldier and give him a newspaper

69EXT - RESERVE CENTER - DAY - CONTINUOUS soldier turns to Oscar who presents a paper

SOLDIER:

Police work. They have done their work. Call the students out lets go for eye seeing first.

70INT - RESERVE HALL - DAY

Oscar goes inside the hall, call all the students, they lock the hall and comes outside.

71EXT - FOREST - DAY

They begin to go around the forest. Though not moving deep inside. Apo and victor with their equipment going to another direction using analogue device. when they moves a little bit, it seems they are alone, they decide t go back and join the group. they go downhill and comes back, very tired. very tired that the girls have no strength to cook, they all manage their cookies. Some drink tea.

FADES IN:

72EXT - FOREST - DAY

The camera views the scout members, some playing, doing exercise, one cutting down a tree. Scout leader (obuzu) discussing with flint as they sit watching others.
