GARY BRYANT:

What in the world.

The only means of communication he has at his disposal is a cell phone, but it does not work. Gary knows that he has to get to town, Gary scrambles to find his keys and runs to the garage for his car. On his way down the road he runs over something. Then the left rear tire blows out. He struggles to regain control of the car as it tries to come to a stop. Gary, still holding tight to the steering wheel pauses for a minute.

GARY BRYANT (CONT’D)

What was that.

He looks in the rear view mirror and briefly sees something shadowy moving quickly towards the ditch. Realizing he does not have a spare tire, he knows that he will have to make it the rest of the way by foot. Hesitantly he exits the vehicle and begins the walk. As he gets about a half mile down the road, he sees the welcome sign entrance to a small town. Two light post next to him start to blink then go out. Luckily the moon light provides just enough light to see. In the field off to the left, the stalks start to move as if they were making way for something. As he looks, numerous openings appear. He begins to walk faster and faster. His heart races and now he is fully running. As he makes it pass the welcome sign, he sees an open sign light at a local bar. He runs in and shuts the door. Everyone inside is gone. It looks like a small war zone. Torn clothing, broken items, trash and blood is everywhere.

EXT. THE WOODS- NIGHT

Joey and his dad Michael are preparing to rest for the night in their cabin after a long day on the lake fishing. They have the family dog Max with them (A golden retriever). As they approach the house, Michael notices that Max is sniffing a silvery substance on the ground leading under the front porch and does not want to go near the cabin. Max begins to sneeze and rub his nose on the ground.

MICHAEL:

Hey Joey, ah …..Just drop the fish in the cooler on the porch and take Max inside.

JOEY:

Which cooler Dad? There are two you know. Come on.. Max.

Joey has to pull Max into the cabin. The dog is really worried. "Wining".

MICHAEL:

The empty one…

As Michael examines the silvery substance on the ground with his hand very concerned. He immediately notices a very bad smell. Something moves in the woods behind him, while something under the porch watches him. Michael quickly turns his head to the left, then forward looking curiously under the porch.

MICHAEL (CONT’D)

(Slightly nervous)

I'll put ice in the cooler before I come in and start some popcorn, we'll watch a movie.

Joey comes back to the edge of the front porch

JOEY:

What are you doing Dad?

MICHAEL:

Just go back inside and stay there. I'll be right in.

JOEY:

Come on Dad..

MICHAEL:

(Forcefully)

Just do what I told you. Go on now.

INT. INSIDE THE CABIN- NIGHT

Max the dog is really irritated and scratches frantically at the door barking. A strange charcoal creature suddenly appears from under the porch directly in Michael's face… Michael becomes bright eyed and petrified with fear. Michael falls backwards to ground as he kicks at the creature. The creature lunges forward and scratches him on the right side of his face. Other creatures approach rapidly from the woods and begin to assault Michael. Michael struggles to get them off as he makes his way to the front steps of the front porch.

Mean while, Joey is in the kitchen preparing popcorn unknowing of what is going on outside. Max however, is pawing at the front door and heavily barking.

MAGGIE DISPATCHER

DEPUTY GERALD:

MAGGIE DISPATCHER

I just got another call. It sounded like a young kid. He said something happened to his dad. I called emergency response. My board is really starting to light up with strange calls. I'm still trying to reach Tom (sheriff), but he and Shirley are probably messing around in the Forbidden Caves. I told him that young professor is going to get him in trouble. I don't know why she is so damn interested in studying rocks.

Mumbling on the radio

DEPUTY GERALD:

Probably more about his rocks..

MAGGIE DISPATCHER

What was that.

DEPUTY GERALD:

Nothing. Hey call Frank, see if you can get him up.

MAGGIE DISPATCHER

I'll try, but he just got off two hours ago. He's been acting really strange; anyway he's been sick all day. He said he got something weird and really stinky on him while out in his shed before he came to work. He threw up all over the place before he left and guess who had to clean it up. I'm not a damn janitor nor am I anyone's mother you know.

Vincent Williams

His career interest in entertainment started prior to finishing high school where he was first introduced to the world of acting by his drama teacher. Born and raised in the Mississippi Delta, there were few opportunities for work in feature film. Initial work in TV was limited to spots in commercials that rarely resulted in any face time. In the early 1990's he was first cast as a stand-in for a major motion picture. In 2005, a local studio producer out of Greenwood, Mississippi heard him talking on a bus and decided to offer him a chance to participate in a commercial radio spot. This spot eventually lead to additional voice over work. In 2009, Vincent moved to the Atlanta Georgia area following his management career and continuing education. Since that time, he has been actively involved in voice over, TV commercials and feature film as a background actor and screen play writing. more…
