DEPUTY GERALD:

Hold on Maggie, I think I see someone. Ma'am are you okay, Ma'am, are you hurt.

The deputy shines his light towards the bottom of the chair and sees blood and what appears to be pieces of flesh and hair.

DEPUTY GERALD (CONT’D)

Maggie come in.. (Franticly).. Maggie, you want believe this.

The deputy quickly shines a light over to a broken window.

As the deputy approaches the window, a bright light starts to illuminate through the window and gets brighter as it approaches it. It's Frank.

Shaking his head back and forth as he exits the vehicle.

DEPUTY FRANK:

That's the same sh*t I found in my shed. Wait, don't touch it Gerald. I haven't been able to get this stuff off of me yet. Even tried using bleach, paint thinner and gas. I don't know what it is.

DEPUTY GERALD:

Looks like we're going to have one hell of a night.

Both officers looking out into the woods as they hear strange sounds and screams.

INT. LOCAL DRUG STORE

RAY MCKIGHT:

You know Jason (pharmacist) the whole world is gonna change one day even if it don't come to an end. I was just reading an article on YouTube the other day about the universe being created from nothing at all. Can you believe that.

FRED THOMPSON:

Well all I know is that if everyone believes in God better things can happen. Social media is poisoning on the decent people of this planet. The one reason I became a pastor is because God has shown me a better life and I now have a mission to do the same for others. God will right the wrong if you just put everything in his hands.

JASON FIRLY:

Okay Fred, if you say so. It just seems to be like there should be some open mindedness between both science and religion sometimes.

FRED THOMPSON:

Hmm. Two on one huh. You both could use some serious time in church if you ask me.

Looking at his watch.

RAY MCKIGHT:

Well I wish that I had more time to debate but it's getting late. I'd better get on home. Got a meeting in Memphis tomorrow. There are a lot of strange things happening. That means more sick people and more drugs to be sold you know.

As Ray leaves town, his head lights shine on an abandon car on the road. The door is open so he stops to see if anyone needs some help.

RAY MCKIGHT (CONT’D)

Man it smells like somebody took a good one and left.

Walking to the rear of the abandon car he sees something moving in the ditch.

Speaking softly to himself.

RAY MCKIGHT (CONT’D)

What in the world. The pastor want believe this one either.

Ray runs back to the car to retrieve his camera.

Suddenly the car door shuts. He stops, then slowly walks over to the driver door window. A creature looks at him through the window.

Ray gasp for air.

RAY MCKIGHT (CONT’D)

What the.

He turns around and sees more creatures coming. Ray drops to his knees covers his eyes and begins to pray silently. A light shines on him from above, the creatures scatter. It's a helicopter.

EXT. THE CAVE - NIGHT

PROFESSOR SHIRLEY BANE

I wish I had more time and money. This is the last year for funding this project. Unfortunately, if we don't get another grant next year, my work here will be over.

Besides, my 13 year old daughter is starting into the adolescent years now and I really need to spend more time with her. Tom, I just want to thank you for all of your support.

SHERIFF TOM HOWARD

No problem Shirley I have been helping for the last two months and would gladly continue if needed. Besides every since I lost my son and wife several years ago, this activity has given me some reprieve outside of running this town. I'm still not quite sure about what you are doing. Hopefully, science will benefit. Anyway my job is just to make sure you are safe.

PROFESSOR SHIRLEY BANE

Tom, I realize that was a painful event for you, but seeing that we may not see each other for some time, would you be willingly to share what really happened to them. Look I know what the papers said about them going into cave and never being found. Is that really why you keep helping me with this project. Is it that maybe you would find them somehow?

SHERIFF TOM HOWARD

To be honest…. yes it is. I just can't believe that they both were taken away from me so suddenly. My son was only 13. I almost lost my job because of it. They thought that I had something to do with it. Shirley, the story I gave them was a lie… just a lie. No one would have every believed the truth.

PROFESSOR SHIRLEY BANE

Would it have something to do with shadowy images and objects moving around you. Did you see strange creatures. Did you experience a black out and found yourself waking up somewhere else.

SHERIFF TOM HOWARD

Yes, but how would you know this.

PROFESSOR SHIRLEY BANE

Because it happen to me when I was 13 years old in this same area. I lost my father, but it appears that I was spared. I'm not sure what this all means, but the number 13 seems to have some significance; I just don't know why.

Coming out of the cave, they realize that it is now night and that they have been in the cave for several hours.

Shirley shines her flashlight towards the vehicles and immediately sees that something has been in them.

The dash board wires and two way radio is destroyed.

PROFESSOR SHIRLEY BANE (CONT’D)

My truck, someone broke into my truck.

Shirley moves closer to the truck.

SHERIFF TOM HOWARD

Wait, let me take a look. It could be bears. It looks like some of their work.

Tom runs quickly to retrieve a pistol from the glove compartment of the vehicle, but notices that something has caused some damage to the interior including his radio and a cell phone he left.

PROFESSOR SHIRLEY BANE

That strange, I remember sees some of this same stuff on my roof this morning before I left.

The door is really mangled on Shirley’s vehicle and there is silvery slime all around and over the vehicle. Shirley walks closer to the damaged vehicle and sees that her rock sample case has been torn opened and there are specific rocks missing.

On the floor board, her purse also lays open and emptied. Her cell phone is submerged in the stinky goo. A muddy pill bottle sits on the ground a few feet from the mangled door. Tom sees it first.

Tom picks up the bottle and wipes the label off with his thumb.

SHERIFF TOM HOWARD

Powerful stuff. Is there a story behind this.

Grabbing the bottle from Tom’s hand.

PROFESSOR SHIRLEY BANE

No, or at least nothing I can’t handle.

SHERIFF TOM HOWARD

It looks like you have been trying to handle it for a while. Sometimes you just need to let someone in.

Throwing her hands up in a pushing motion

PROFESSOR SHIRLEY BANE

You know what, I really don’t care to get into this right, so why don’t we just stick to the protection part you are her for right..

SHERIFF TOM HOWARD

Sorry, so sorry, I didn't mean anything by asking, I guess it’s just my poor way of trying to ask you out for a cup of coffee or maybe tea.

Vincent Williams

His career interest in entertainment started prior to finishing high school where he was first introduced to the world of acting by his drama teacher. Born and raised in the Mississippi Delta, there were few opportunities for work in feature film. Initial work in TV was limited to spots in commercials that rarely resulted in any face time. In the early 1990's he was first cast as a stand-in for a major motion picture. In 2005, a local studio producer out of Greenwood, Mississippi heard him talking on a bus and decided to offer him a chance to participate in a commercial radio spot. This spot eventually lead to additional voice over work. In 2009, Vincent moved to the Atlanta Georgia area following his management career and continuing education. Since that time, he has been actively involved in voice over, TV commercials and feature film as a background actor and screen play writing. more…
