Shirley pauses while looking at Tom; cracks a smile and laughs.

PROFESSOR SHIRLEY BANE

Tea?.. and your timing couldn't be better.

Tom shrugs his shoulders, gestures his hands upward and smirks.

SHERIFF TOM HOWARD

Well let's see if my vehicle starts.

The vehicle starts and the both Professor Bane and Tom drive back towards town.

INT. THE BAR - NIGHT

Gary notices a TV on the floor laying on its side next to the bar smeared with blood stains The news caster is talking about the sudden rash of meteorite showers.

NEWS CASTER:

Reports are coming in from all over the world about an increase in meteorite showers. We have a special guest commentator with us tonight. Professor Candor from the national geological foundation will try to give us some possible reasons for why these events maybe happening now. Professor Candor.

PROFESSOR CANDOR

Well we in the science community can only speculate, but what we do know is that other cosmic events are also occurring. Based on the current data, these events haven’t happened for over 13 billion years.

NEWS CASTER:

Professor, If my science history is somewhat correct, this would have been about the time of the Big Bad right.., but I thought this time line was more closer to 14 billion years.

PROFESSOR CANDOR

The exact timing has been approximated and theorized by many scientist over time.

This broadcast captivates Gary’s attention for the moment as he pauses to listen.

As the talk from the TV fades, suddenly a phone on the wall starts to ring.

Gary walks over hastily to catch the call and picks up the phone.

What sounds to be the voice of a young girl begins to speak.

YOUNG GIRL:

Daddy, why did you leave me, why. It’s so lonely here.

GARY BRYANT:

Melody, who is this.

The line goes dead.

EXT. STATE POLICE - NIGHT

A helicopter lands on a field just outside of town. Two officers get out and approach a terrified Ray Knight.

STATE OFFICER 1

Sir are you okay, is anyone else with you.

RAY MCKIGHT:

No, who are you.

STATE OFFICER 2

We are from state law enforcement. We got a radio transmission for help earlier from someone at the Sheriff’s department. We were stationed about 2 miles from here investigating some strange blips over the lake area that were picked up on our radar. We have also lost contact with our command center.

As the helicopter sits idling, the pilot is startled by something sliding into the cockpit with him. In his attempt to break free, he initiates a lift off. The helicopter begins to fly forward and crashes into a nearby structure then explodes. The creature exits the helicopter to the ground on fire and squealing horribly. It heads towards the two officers. The officers draw their side arms and begin firing rounds at it. The creature overcomes one officer and badly mangles the other. Terrified Ray runs back to his car, opens the door and locks himself in not remembering that one of the creatures was still in the car. The wounded second state officers makes his way towards Ray’s car reaching out for help. Ray looks in awe shaking his head but does nothing. As Ray slides back into the drivers sit, he can’t help but notice the strong smell. As he looks over into the back sit, the creature starts to tear flesh from his face in a wild manner.

EXT. COUNTY ROAD - NIGHT

Deputy Frank is following Deputy Gerald in a separate vehicle on their way to the site of the loud explosion they saw in the distance. Deputy Frank is starting to feel really lethargic and tries to radio Deputy Gerald.

DEPUTY FRANK:

Come in Gerald, I think I need to pull over man. I’m not feeling.....(he starts to vomit all over himself).

Deputy Gerald sees Deputy Franks vehicle start to swirl and slide off the road to a stop. Deputy Gerald takes a u-turn and drives back to assist. He parks and gets out of the vehicle and hurries to Deputy Frank’s vehicle.

Deputy Frank is slumped over to passenger side of the vehicle.

DEPUTY GERALD:

Frank, Frank. Talk to me, what’s wrong.

Deputy Gerald tries to shake him and notices that his body is really soft to touch.

(Deputy Frank starts to speak softly, but very weak with his face turned side ways to the seat)

DEPUTY FRANK:

Gerald, please don't let me die like this. Please Gerald, it hurts so bad.

Deputy Franks starts to cough up a gooey dark smelly substance that splatters all over the glove compartment and dash.

Gerald then attempts to pull him upright in the seat, but Deputy Frank's skins begins to turn really bruised around the hand, face and neck.

Deputy Gerald attempts to call for help.

DEPUTY GERALD:

Office down 10-00. I repeat officer down. Need a helivac immediately. Two miles south on route 124. Do you copy. Come in dispatch, sh*t. What the f*** is happening around here.

Deputy Gerald pauses for a moment stricken with grief and crying as he slumps down to the ground next to the cruiser when he notices an eerie silence. The crickets and frogs have stopped making noise. As he looks out into the field, he can see multiple things moving towards him. He turns his head to the left and sees a lighted image coming down the road. He reaches back into deputy Franks car, pulls out the shotgun and pumps a run into the chamber. As the lighted image comes closer, he aims his weapon at it, squints his eyes to see (fearing the worse) when suddenly he hears a familiar voice.

SHERIFF TOM HOWARD

Gerald, Gerald stop, it's me Tom, put down the gun.

DEPUTY GERALD:

Tom, damn is it really you. There is something out hear. Hey, I think Franks dead.

Tom quickly looks in Frank's cruiser to see nothing but charred remains and notices an awful smell.

PROFESSOR SHIRLEY BANE

Come on guys, I just saw something move in the field.

Tom, Shirley and Gerald get in the car and drive quickly away towards town.

EXT. The Town - Night

As Tom, Shirley and Gerald enter the town. They notice a wounded man outside of the bar facing off with a strange creature. The car stops. Tom and Gerald get out with there guns drawn to assist. They both fire at the creature repeatedly when it turns and heads towards them. Suddenly, Gerald's radio sounds off, the creature stops immediately and begins to react violently before running off to the woods. It's dispatcher Maggie on the radio.

MAGGIE DISPATCHER

Got damn it Tom, I don't know what's going own out there, but something got into the office and tore the hell out of my radio station. I managed to lock my own self up in the back. All I've got is this two way radio. I called for for the state police, cause I couldn't get a hold of you. The lines just started going wild with crazy talking people. They said something was attacking them.

Shirley attends to Gary Bryant.

GARY BRYANT:

My name is Gary Bryant, Dr. Gary Bryant. I'm an astrophysics.

PROFESSOR SHIRLEY BANE

Hey don't talk, you are bleeding badly.

GARY BRYANT:

Yeah, it attacked me as soon as I came out of the bar. It dropped something on the ground over there.

Vincent Williams

His career interest in entertainment started prior to finishing high school where he was first introduced to the world of acting by his drama teacher. Born and raised in the Mississippi Delta, there were few opportunities for work in feature film. Initial work in TV was limited to spots in commercials that rarely resulted in any face time. In the early 1990's he was first cast as a stand-in for a major motion picture. In 2005, a local studio producer out of Greenwood, Mississippi heard him talking on a bus and decided to offer him a chance to participate in a commercial radio spot. This spot eventually lead to additional voice over work. In 2009, Vincent moved to the Atlanta Georgia area following his management career and continuing education. Since that time, he has been actively involved in voice over, TV commercials and feature film as a background actor and screen play writing. more…
