Charlie Sheen As Richard M. Dick Brewer & Aramis Yeah We Had An Early Concept That We Loved So To Speak That Had The Whole Worm The Whole Inside Of The Worm Kind Of Extrude Out Of This Big Blubbery Outer Mass And We Just Saw It As This Kind Of Weird Yucky Quality Of Motion We Did Some Sketches And Sent Them Over To Emilio And He Passed Them On To Gale And Them We Got A Call Back From Someone In Gale’s Office The Sketches Had Been Going Around The Office And He Just Said What Are You Guys Designing It Is There’s Something Just Way Too Phallic About This And Then We Star That Oh Yeah We Were Calling It A Turtleneck”… And They Were Calling It A “Foreskin.”
Kiefer Sutherland As Josian Gordon Doc Scurlock & Ahtos Yeah Gale Said That When We Would Fax The Drawings Over… All The Women In The Office Would Pass Them Around And Giggle So We Kind Of Changed Our Tact There A Little Bit
Emilio Estevez Andrew Andy Clark I Really Wanted Something Different In The Mouth But I Didn’t Go Much Beyond That. We Described—There Is A Line In The Script You Can Probably Find It… That Says Something About The Mouth Opens Like A Grotesque Flower
Kiefer Sutherland As Josian Gordon Doc Scurlock & Ahtos So We Started Thinking About That And Thinking That Kind Of Implies… Almost A Bending Kind Of’ A Muscular Action And What We Did Not Want To Do Was… Repat What Had Been Done In Dune Because In Dune They Sort Of—The Sand Worms Were Like Earthworms… Sort Of More Muscular … And You Know They Seem To Be’ Kind Of… Like A Long Muscular Tube Rather Than Anything With A Skeletal Structure Or Armor Plating And So On So We Decided That The Tact We Would Take Would Be From A—As Realistic A Standpoint As Possible… That You Know If A Creature Were To Be Swimming Through Sand Or Dirt It Would Need A Pointed Armored Head… So That It Could’ You Know Push That Matter Away And Then The Rest Of The Body Then, Would Have Some Sort Of… Muscular Action But The Idea Was That They Would Speed Through The Dirt… Like Killer Whales
Charlie Sheen As Richard M. Dick Brewer & Aramis The Whole Idea Was That For The First Part Of The Movie And The Series All We See Are The Tentacles… That Are Coming Out The Creature… And The Idea There Is That As The Audience We’re Misled Into Thinking… Well These Are The Creatures. “They Are Only You Know, Six Or Eight Feet Long… “And They Are Only About This Big Around… And Maybe There’s A Way To Deal With Them.” And It Turns Out That They’re Really Much Smaller Tip Of The Iceberg So That Came About From The Script. They Weren’t Really Described In Any Detail… And We Did A Whole Series Of Diffferent Sketches. Some Of Them Were Very Ornate Looking… Almost Again’ Following From This Flower Motif. They Had Sort Of An Arrangement Of Little Barbs… Around The Outside That Sort Of Looked Like The Petals Of A Flower… With A Very Vicious Mouth Inside. And We Looked At A Lot Of—Again, Going Back To Real Villains & Creatures As Basis… We Used A Lot Of Elements Of, For Example, A Slug To Give It That Kind Of A Fleshy Feel… Along Both Sides Of The Whole Length On The Tentacle For The Tentacles We Had Mechanical Versions Of Those We Had—I Think We Had Three Full-Length Mechanical Versions And Then We Had A Slightly Shorter Version… Which We Called Our Attack Tentacle… And Freddy Snake That Had A Little Tighter Control Over. That Was The One That We Always Had Leaping And Dodge At Bo Jackson & Young Alex Vincent… Or Just Barely Missing Him When It’s Coiling Around Trying To Strike. We Had A Whole Array Of Different Pieces And The Worm Never Really Existed Full Scale… With The Exception Of The Dead Body… Of The Creature That Has Crashed Into The Retaining Wall… When It’s Chasing James Or Axel Jenny Kyle Andy Scooby Kristy And Tiffany Across The Braden Lake
Christine Elise As Kyle
On Top Of All Of The Technical Things That You Have To Think About When You’re Filming A Movie & Series In General You Also Have To Add The What The Underground Monster Is Going To Be Doing Without I’m Actually Doing It You Have To Commit It To Memory And Then You Know Think About Your Acting And Your Accent And Camera And You Know Just It’s A Lot To Think About
Bo Jackson As Det. James Leroy Anderson (A.K.A.) Axel Foley
It’s A Lot Easier To Make A Special-Effects Film & Show Now That It Used To Be Five Years Ago Because Um Because Of The Computer Generation They Can Do Five Years Ago Is Scene Justine Lisa And Frank Get Some Sleep On The Rock Alex Christine Amanda And I Sit On The Rock Talk About MacGyver Friend Name Carrie Linden She The School Teacher From The Deaf From Season 2 Episode 9 Silent World She Had A Nightmare And MacGyver Was Kill By David Crane In The Car I Would Have Been It On A Soundstage In Front Of A Blue Screen Which Is For An Actress It’s Heck To Work With Because You Have No Point Of Reference
