Christine Elise As Kyle Well Of Course Our First Day Of Shooting And All Of The Things Start Popping And There Was Smoke So Much Smoke It Was Unbelievable For The Canisters Were Going And Smokers Being Pumped In Because The Whole We’re Supposed Be On Fire Is Worth Crash-Landing Intro This Strange Planet Surprised None Of Us Are Dead I Mean They Didn’t Have Codes Like Here They Have To Have A Water Base Which Took A Long Time For Them To Get But Over There Was Like Small Pots You Were So Grimy When You Left At The End Of The Day I Mean Between The Being Sprayed With Glycerin And The Smoke And The Beeswax John Malo Was One Who Designed The Costumes And These Costumes Were Rum Well They Were Hugh They Were Padded We Had Big Plates There They Were Like Football Padding Only They Were Sort Of Very Heavy Plastic And Then We Had These Big Bubbles On The Top Of Our Heads And They Had Co2 In Canisters In The Back To Set Off That Smoke As We Went Along
Heather Langekamp As Nancy Thompson/Herself Staring Us Fish It With Clip-On Fastening Within 15 Seconds I’m Getting Really Hot And I Don’t Get Pasta For A Bit I’m Getting Really Hot And You Could Easy Get Phobic Right Jeez This Doesn’t Work You Got To Keep Him Cool Inside Here We Have To Have Some Kind Of Help With You Know Oxygen Correct Mix Right After All We Are In The 20th Century She Isn’t That Possible He Got Aqualungs And You Got Breathing Apparatus And They Explained To Me Why It Was Difficult

6 Photography And Editing
Steve Oedekerk Chosen One Director Producer Writer Alexander Gruszynski Was The Director Of Photography On The Film And Show And We Wanted A Kind Of Warm Feeing Throughout And To Picture Coumbia And Hopkins As Although Kind Of Run Down And It Had Seen Better Days I Was Kind Of A Romantic PlaceYou Really Only Have Ten Interiors In The Movie And The Series All The Store All The Houses 7 School James Father Apartment Cabin 10 Pizza Hut Little Cesar Pizza Columbia P.D. Sheriff Department And Nursey Home And It’s A Real Challenge For A Director Of Photography To Be Outside All The Time And Be At The Mercy Of The Elements My Editor Nick Brown Was Always There To Give Encouragement But Also To Say When Something Wasn’t Working Well He Was Always Brutally Honest And I Love That About Nick He Went On To Cut City Slickers And Heart And Souls For Me As Well An Action Sequence Is Really Made In The Cutting Room Out Of Many Little Pieces Of Both First Unit And Unit Photography Emilio Estevez Directed The Excellent Second Unit With Virgil Harper As The Director Of Photography
7 The 5 Villains & The Creatures
Tina McGee Look Those 5 Villians & The Creatures Are Absolutely Unprecedented
Nester Yeah But Where They Come From
Anthony Michael Hall Brian Ralph Johnson That Was Question Though Where The 5 Villains And The Creatures Came From And People Kept Asking I Mean There Was A Debate About That
Molly Ringwald Claire Standing Well They Insisted There Was A Big Debate About It Early In The Process First Of All We Didn’t Care Since I’m The One Who Comes Out Of Slaher Cartoon Animations Honor & Science Fiction Films And Shows I Was Saying There’s Only Nine Places They Can Come Either From They Are From A Nightmare On Elm Street Series Biological Experiments Child’s Play And Chucky Series Gremlins Lost In Space Outer Space Radioactive Scooby-Doo And The Cyber Chase And They’ve Always Been There These Are The Only Options You Have So I Didn’t Want To Say It I Said In Fact I’ll Go One Better Let’s Just Say All To Them
Teenage Andy Barclay It Doesn’t Matter Where They Come From
Leroy El Anderson Yeah
Doesn’t Matter Where They Come From
Steve Oedekerk Chosen One Director Producer Writer It Was A No-Win Situation To Answer Where They Come Really For Me Because There Are Only The Standara Few Places Where Can They Come From A Nightmare On Elm Street Series Child’s Play And Chucky Series Gremlins Lost In Space Outer Space Radioactive & Scooby-Doo And The Cyber Chase I Mean We’ve Heard Them All And Would You Figure Out Where They Come From In The Short Time The Film And Show Takes Place In Once You Discover These Villains And Creatures So I Thought That It Was More Reality-Based And Realistic That They Woudn’t Figure It Out When We First Got Involved With Gale Anne Hurd She Had Worked With These Makeup Effects Guys Who Turned Out To Be Brilliant And A Goodsend For The Making Of James Leroy Anderson Goes To House School & More & James Leroy Anderson The Movie There Two Characters In The Three Musketeers And Young Guns I And II Charlie Sheen And Kiefer Sutherland
Charlie Sheen As Richard M. Dick Brewer & Aramis I Think In The Script They Went So Far As To Describe That They Have Multi-Pieced Mouths And These Snake-Like Tentacle-Tongues That Come Out And Beyond That We Were Sort Of Of Given Some Free Rein Whenever We’re Designing A Creature Even If It’s Some Kind Of Fantastic Monster We Really Like Go To Research Books Of Real Animals Looking At Forms And Details Like Skin Texture Coloring Even The Way The Animal Moves And So It Has Some Sort Of Basis In Reality If There’s No Reality If It’s All Completely Made Up Completely Fantastic There’s Sort Of An Unreal Quality To It That’t Hard To Get Over So We Would Meet With Emilio Judd Ally Anthony Molly & Steve And At The Time We Were Sort Of Just Getting Our Own Shop Established We Didn’t Really Have Our Base Of Operation We Would Meet With Them At A Restaurant In Burbank And Show Up With A Pile Of Books Under Our Arms Spread Them All That All Over The Table And Sit And Drink Coffee And Go Through These Books
Kiefer Sutherland As Josian Gordon Doc Scurlock & Ahtos And They Would Say When Do We Get To Come And See Your Props And We’d Say Well This More Convenient For All Of Us You Know Sort Of A Half Way Point And So You Know Ultimatrly We Did Have To Say You Know We’re Making Some Arrangements You Know As Soon As You Give Us The Check Then You Can Come Over [Chuckles] It Was Pretty Tight There For A While
Emilio Estevez Andrew Andy Clark They Needed To Be Able To Move Fast And They Needed To Hunt By Sound And They Needed To Be Big Enough To Eat A Number Of People So You Didn’t Think Gee It Ought To Be Full By Now And Beyond That And You Know There Were Certain Sort Of Obvious Things Like The Cigar Shape We Did Come Up With The Idead Of The Spikes On The Sides We Felt Like This How They Would Push Them I’d Read Somewhere That Earthworms Push Themselves With These Stiff Hairs On Their Sides So I Thought Okay We’ll Incorporate That”
Bo Jackson As Det. James Leroy Anderson (A.K.A.) Axel Foley I Was Working With Two Guys From Young Guns And The Three Musketeers Charlie Sheen And Kiefer Sutherland They Bulit The Underground Monster In This Movie And Series Had A Speaker Set In Front Of That And Brad Doufil Frank Welker Gray Oldman Gray Sturgis & Robert Englund Would Play The 5 Villains For Me They Play Dr. Smith Chucky Freddy Krueger Stripe & Phantom Virus And They Was Read A Great Dr. Smith Chucky Freddy Krueger Stripe & Phantom Virus They Had Such A Passion For It That It Really Helped Me Out A Lot
