Hi guys! You've never guessed who I ran into!

Janet:
Puff Daddy? He owns me money

(Audience laughs)

Tisha:
No, your brother.

Janet:
Really? Girl, you lying.

Tisha:
I’m serious! Anyway, since I have the day off. I thought I could just hang with you until I picked up the kids.

Janet:
Um, ok.

Tisha:
Is something wrong?

Janet:
No, it’s just…..How do i tell you this? See, remember when i told you i was moving in with you guys and getting some ideas for my songs? Part of that was true. I also came here to avoid screaming fans and agents and people always saying “Can you sign my book?” “Can you sign this?” “Can you sign that?”

Tisha:
Oh, well. You still can.

Janet:
How?

Tisha:
Come with me!

They go to Tisha’s bedroom. Tisha pulls out her hair and make-up. She starts working her magic on Janet.

At college:
Lunch.

Dede:
Hey guys!

Jenny:
Hey, how was your class?

Dede:
It was good.

Bubbles:
Mine sucks! It don’t make no sense.

Vero:
What you mean, bro?

Bubbles:
I was trying to show everyone what mom does for a living and…..

Dede:
What?! Are you crazy?

Bubbles:
No?

(Audience laughs)

Dede:
What did mom tell us before she went on tour?

Jenny:
“Don’t let Tisha pack our lunches”?

(Audience laughs)

Dede:
No, well. Yes, But she said, “ She doesn’t want anyone to know we are her kids!”

Vero:
Why?

Dede:
Cause one: That’s the only reason people will want to hang out with us. Two, people are gonna bust the doors and windows open to get her to sign random stuff!

Bubbles:
Ok, but what if they wanna meet Mom or Dad?

Dede:
We do what we used to. We’ll ask Tisha and/or Mickey to dress up as them. It always works. Or...I don’t know!

(Audience laughs)

Dede:
Anyway, did you guys join any clubs or something?

Jenny:
I joined P.L’s dancing club.

Dede:
I did too.

Bubbles and Vero: Me too

Bubbles:
And we can use the audio room too.

Dede:
Wait, I got an idea! Don’t this college have a dance studio or something?

Jenny:
I think so. Where else would we be dancing?

(Audience laughs)

Dede:
I can ask P.L if we can use it to practice our dances after school. And he can help us out!

Other:
*Agreeing*

Dede:
Ok, great! So, which one of y’all is gonna tell him?

(Audience laughs)

Jenny:
Why can’t you do it?

Dede:
Don’t one of y’all have a class with next or something?

Jenny:
I think I do.

Dede:
Good! *Sees Hex* Oh, I gotta go! Love you!

Jenny:
That’s just sad. Wait, don’t we gotta tell Tia and Mick?

Vero:
Kinda, all we gotta say to Tis “It’s P.L’s class” And she’ll be here every day!

(Audience laughs)

Home:

Janet:
Are you almost done?

Tisha:
Almost…..And done! Look in the mirror!

Janet:
Wow, I look like a whole different person! *Hugs tisha* I don’t know how to thank you!

Tisha:
Cash will do!

(Audience laughs)

Janet:
You think this is gonna work?

Tisha:
Yea, and if anyone asks, what is your name?

Janet:
C-note.

Tisha:
Yes! Come on!

Janet:
Where are we going again?

Tisha:
We’re just gonna go to the mall and see if this works. And to get something to eat. I’m starving.

(Audience laughs)

Tisha and Janet leave. After 15 mins, they reach the mall.

Tisha:
Ok, time to put this outfit to work!

Janet(C-note) walks into a store and nobody knows it’s her!

Janet:
This is working!

Tisha:
Yea!

Meanwhile:

Tisha texts De and tells them to walk home.

Dede:
Guys, Tisha just texted me and said we gotta walk home. She and “C-note” are doing something.

Hex walks up to DeDe

Hex:
Hey, Ann, right?

Dede:
*Blushes* Hey!

Hex:
Are you doing anything later?

Dede:
No

Jenny:
*Slaps De’s arm*

Dede:
I mean, we’ve got practice. Um, do you wanna come and watch us?

Hex:
Sure!

They all go into the dance studio. Vero and Bubbles go into the audio room to plug their music. Dede goes into the women’s locker room and changes her clothes.

Bubbles:
Ann, we got the computer and the playlist up. Which song do you wanna do first?

Dede:
Um...Smooth criminal!

Bubbles:
Got it!

Jenny:
That was incredible!

Hex:
I can’t believe you remembered all of that!

Dede:
Thanks, guys! *Checks her watch, shows 5:45* Oh! Guys, we gotta go. It’s getting late! Janet's gonna kill us if we’re not home!

Hex:
Janet? As in “Janet Jackson”?

Dede:
Oops!

Jenny:
What happened to “Nobody can find out”?!

Dede:
Hex, you can’t tell anyone this! Please!

Hex:
I promise! Um, can I at least get her to sign my shirt?

(Audience laughs)

Dede:
Fine! Anyone got cash on them? We gotta take the city bus!

Jenny:
Why?! We can get the limo

Dede:
Girl, if y’all don’t….*Giggles*

They run. Dede and Hex are alone.

Dede:
Some rules. I might be able to talk Tia out of paying rent if you’re gonna live with us. I’ll tell ya the rest in the car.

Dede gets her clothes, places them in her backpack. And they all exit the dance studio! When they got home, they noticed Janet and Tisha in the theater room.

Tisha:
Hm? Oh, hi guys! How was school?

Dede:
Oh, it was good.

Hex:
*Clears throat*

Dede:
Oh, this is Hex. He’s a friend from school.

Tisha:
Oh, hi! I’m Tisha, but everyone calls me Tis or Tia. Anyway, where did you guys go for almost 3 hours? And don’t lie to me.

Dede:
Um…..

Jenny:
We asked Professor Leyendo if we could use the dance studio to rehearse for our shows. And he’s gonna help us!

Tisha:
Oh, ok. Wait, Professor Leyendo’s gonna be there?

Jenny:
Sometimes. Why?

Tisha:
Just asking.

Dede:
And why did you send me this text saying “C-note” and ``I are going to the mall”?

Tisha:
Oh, I gave Janet a makeover. And “C-note” is her when we go out.

(Audience laughs)

Dede:
The two of us are going to my room to study.

Tisha:
Yea right!

(Audience laughs)

Tisha:
Well, I’m gonna go to bed. See you guys in the morning. Dede, you and Hex don’t stay up too late. Good night. *Goes to her bedroom*

Others:
Good night.

Hex:
Oh, Ms. Janet, can you sign my book, please?

Janet:
Sure! *Signs*

Everyone(But Dede and Hex) also goes to bed.

Dede:
So...What do you wanna study first?

Hex:
I wondered if you could teach me how to dance to that song you were doing earlier in the studio.

Dede:
Really? Um, ok.

The next morning:

Tisha gets dressed, so do Jenny and her brothers. Tisha enters Dede’s room. But she’s not there. She goes downstairs and sees if she’s already up. But she only sees Janet, Jenny, and her three brothers eating breakfast.

Tisha:
Um, has anyone seen Dede?

Mickey:
No.

Jenny:
Wasn’t she in the cinema room with that guy?

Tisha:
Oh yeah! Wait, didn’t he leave?
