Come on, come over here!

Throw the bag on the ground!

Hands on the truck.

Alright, soldiers, alright.

Turn around.

What are you doing here?

Nothing, we're just going our way.

We just took some pictures.

Where to?

To Trabzon, God willing, sir.

Give me your IDs.

Mine's in the bag.

Where are you coming from?

We just took a look at the cave up

there, we walked around there.

So you were on a mission to explore it?

Of course not, sir.

It's Alexander's cave,

he hid his men there.

- Alexander? Whose code name is Alexander?

- Miss Asya knows.

Alexander the Great,

the emperor of Macedonia.

The emperor of Macedonia?

Oh, that Alexander.

- And you are the manager of the fire department?

- No, sir, she's a sort of secretary.

I'm the assistant manager.

Koman, so what's the deal?

Well, sir, the Diyarbakr Municipality donated

this fire engine...

...to the municiplaity of ayrba

in Trabzon.

I am the fire engine driver,

so I came to fetch it.

We're on our way back,

with Miss Asya here.

She has to sign some papers.

Has to sign papers.

How do I know that, Koman?

Why didn't you ask for a fire engine

from Rize?

It's not like they offered one

and we didn't take it.

They didn't?

We asked so many different municipalities,

but they didn't give us one!

- How can they not?

- Well, they just didn't.

Sir, there is a box here!

What is this box, Koman?

Asya?

- Yoghurt and cheese.

- Open it up, soldier.

Yoghurt? Really?

We put it on the wounds of

burn victims.

You are totally nuts. Take your papers,

Koman, and off you go.

Sir, the truck is clear, sir!

Get down, now.

Soldiers, on your vehicles!

Mam, please.

- Have a safe trip.

- Thank you, sir.

They kept us waiting for nothing.

What were they looking for anyway?

And how can you not know

who Alexander is?

How should I know?

You kept on saying Alexander, and I thought it

was a restaurant selling kebab la Alexander.

And is that why you were talking about

a restaurant in that cave of yours?

Yeah.

You made me put a restaurant

in that cave, huh!

Rodi.

Rodi, my dear, how are you?

I'm on my way, honey.

Tonight?

I don't know.

Will we arrive there tonight?

- No, tomorrow.

- Tomorrow?

I'll tell you.

Tomorrow Rodi, tomorrow.

I miss you, too.

OK, Rodi, OK. Kisses.

Do you have a loved one

close to my hometown?

Yep, someone very close to my heart.

Rodi.

Is Rodi a foreigner?

Nope, it means wise.

Male or female?

Male.

Koman is a strange name, too,

is it foreign?

- Yep, it is.

- Really?

Well, as the story goes, there was a Greek

priest in my hometown. He was well-liked.

He did good to many,

even attended the mosque.

- The mosque?

- Yep, he would close his shop...

...I mean, his church

and go to the mosque.

He did good to many people.

And so there are many named after him.

What on earth is this?

Hey, stop!

What are you doing here?

We're waiting for the bus home.

Come on, we'll drop you off.

Alright.

Oh, look at those eyelashes.

What are your names?

My name is Musa, this is Delil,

and this is Zelal.

Delil has diarrhea and because of that

we missed the bus.

Are you OK now?

Give me some water.

Brother, I know Turkish,

but they don't know it yet.

What? Don't they go to school?

They do, but they're only in

first grade.

Well, isn't Turkish spoken

in first grade?

In first grade, we have

stare-at-the-teacher class.

Come again?

Stare-at-the-teacher. We don't

understand anything, we just stare.

- Where are you from, brother?

- From Trabzon.

And you, auntie?

From Diyarbakr, dear. I'm going

to Trabzon to take care of something.

What's your village called?

Gola qulinga.

Is it far?

5 km. Oh, here we are already.

We'll get off by the sign.

- Is it far off the road?

- About 2-3 km.

We'll turn from there, Koman.

My God, I'll turn, but please, please speak

normally, I don't understand a single thing.

Well, Delil is sick,

we'll go to their village.

Come on, come here.

Hey, slowly! Hop!

Koman, you wait here,

I'll drop off the kids.

It's OK, Auntie Asya,

we'll go by ourselves.

Stop it with your "auntie" shmauntie...

Auntie?

What's going on?

What's this now?

Oh, this is floating!

But where to, God, how!

What's happening now?

For God's sake, what's happening,

don't move...

Please God, help me! Asya!

Koman! What happened to you?

- I have no idea.

- Why are you afraid, jump already!

- Well, there's water!

- So what?

- Well, what if I fall?

- You'll swim and climb out.

It's probably ice cold!

In the summer heat!

Hey, don't you know how to swim?

What kind of a Black Sea man are you?

Well, there's all sorts of people!

You're a firefighter, your job is all about

water, and you're afraid of it. Come here!

- I'm scared, stop!

- Come on, jump!

- Hold on!

- OK.

- Come on!

- Jump!

This is a nice picture of you.

I told you not to take pictures!

What is this "no pictures"?

- Shall I erase this one, too?

- No no, hey, keep that one.

- St!

- What happened?

Hey, we're in luck! Can't you see

there's a fire? Great!

How can you be happy

that there's a fire?

Turn that on. Come on,

where is it?

Turn it on! Hey, turn it on!

Hey, wait, wait, wait.

Take this, too,

loosen the straps.

Put it on.

OK, I'll tie it!

- Quick, run, run!

- What's the matter?

You are godsend.

My baby's inside. He's burning.

- What, your baby?

- Quick, be quick!

Koman, be careful!

My son, my dear son.

Oh, my darling boy.

Auntie, do you have

any other babies?

No, no, thank you so much, son.

May God bless you.

Oh, the hose, the hose!

Well, I'm off!

The pressure is high, the manual says

two people should hold it!

Not in my book!

Turn it on when I say so!

Let go, let it loose!

Open it!

Shall I come?

Yes, yes!

It would have been better if we hadn't

happened on this fire, it's already nighttime.

Your eyes really lit up when you saw the fire.

You were over the moon.

- Good Evening.

- Good Evening.

Papers?

- Get down.

- What?

I said, get down.

Are you the driver of this fire engine?

Yes, sir.

Check his info, ask on the radio.

The council has donated a fire truck

belonging to the municipality of Diyarbakr...

...to Trabzon, ayrba.

The fire department assistant manager...

Asya Demirsoy has been appointed

as the deputy...

- What's in this?

- Nothing, sir.

How come? Not even water?

- Well, there's only little left, sir.

- There's only little left, sir.

How do I know you're not a terrorist

dressed up as a Black Sea man?

What?

Sir, you have my ID.

It says my birth place is Artvin,

and I live in Trabzon.

Get me Hsni!

Yes, sir! Sergeant Hsni!

Sir, yes, sir!

Hsni, see if this guy is from Trabzon.

Sir, yes, sir!

- Where shall I look, sir?

- What do you mean, where?

Talk to him and see whether

he talks like someone from Trabzon.

Well, OK then.

Buddy, where are you staying?

In ayrba.

You know the imam of Rize?

I do, of course, but you don't have to be

from Trabzon to know him!

Well said, buddy, you don't have to be
