Like everyone I know who watched the excellent film. "Spotlight", written by Josh Singer, came to despise what the priest, Father Goeghan, did to an estimated 150 children over many years. When I did a Google search to find out what happened to that monster I was surprised to learn that he'd been left in a locked prison cell with another prisoner, who was serving life without parole, and was beaten to death by him with no guards watching. It occurred to me that Goeghan, who had survived for so many years in the church by being protected by a large bureaucracy, was himself a victim of the large prison bureaucracy that allowed him, likely purposely, to be put in danger. I wonder why the movie, "Spotlight", omitted how Father Goeghan met his maker?
