Shut up.

I'm gonna head to work.

I'll go later, too.

Who have y'all been talking to?

Oh, uh, let's do this...

I'm gonna head out, too.

Pardon me.

You don't have cram school today, do you?

So you admit defeat against Menma?

I don't care about Jintan.

Everything you say you don't care about

is always something you

actually care about.

Look who's talking, Crossdresser!

Sorry.

Yeah, that's easier, after all.

Hey, want to try dating?

Wha?

What are you talking about? Stop.

What's so good

about Jintan?

I don't know.

I just can't get him off my mind.

Even though Menma died,

he still can't forget about her.

And yet,

you can't forget about him, right?

An express train is passing through.

We will halt for a moment.

Thank you for your patience.

We've been at a standstill.

All of us.

Ever since that day.

Once we set off those fireworks,

maybe something will change.

You on break?

You sure you're not overdoing it?

Are you holding up okay?

Yeah.

Are you sure it's okay?

What do you mean?

If we set off the fireworks,

Menma will pass on.

Is that what you really want?

Are you sure you want it to end?

Hey...

I don't want you to go!

What are you doing?

I didn't want you to go that day, either...

That day?

Not that it matters, but...

Jintan, you like Menma, right?

Who would like someone that ugly?!

Wait, Jintan!

I'm... about to say something really,

really awful.

Jintan... Back then,

you said you didn't like Menma.

And it's really awful,

but that made me kind of happy.

I've been hurting ever since.

I couldn't forgive myself for

being happy, even for that second.

I couldn't forgive myself for so long!

We're making a customer wait.

Once her wish comes true,

isn't Menma going to disappear?

Jintan, you jerk!

Because we lost Menma...

Thank you very much.

Menma's mom has held a grudge against us.

Anaru has been blaming herself,

just like Yukiatsu, and probably Tsuruko.

Poppo, too.

Pardon me.

Everyone's been trapped by guilt,

with no salvation in sight.

I'm home.

I'm the only one that's been saved by Menma.

Welcome home.

Thanks.

If I'm the only one who can see her,

I need to grant her wish.

Even if it means

Menma will disappear.

Today's another nice day,

isn't it, Touko-san?

Yadomi

Family

Grave

This is the fifth summer since

you went to Heaven, Touko-san.

I wonder if Mom was able to pass on.

What? Why?

Well, I mean... Look at me.

Yadomi

Family

Grave

You've been going out a lot lately.

You're setting off fireworks for

Menma-chan, who died, right?

Huh?

Oh... Was that being why you started

working supposed to be a secret?

How did you know?

I know Towada-san, the pyrotechnician, pretty well.

Seriously?

Welp.

It'd be nice if Touko-san

got to see the fireworks, too.

Right?

Come on. Let's go get a little more water.

Yadomi

Pass on?

Thank you for the food.

Sure.

Aren't you worried about being sick, Auntie?

Say, Menma-chan. Do you

know about rebirth?

If my life ends, I can be reborn

as a baby once again.

But instead of a human, I might be a kitten.

Or maybe even a baby flower.

So I'm not worried at all about dying.

Wow...

But there is just one thing.

What? What?

If there's anything you're worried

about, I'll totally bust it!

Then could you grant

just one wish for me?

Wish?

Ready, and...

All right. Well done.

Looks like we'll be able

to set it off tomorrow.

Tomorrow...

Menma Passes On

Super Peace Busters

If Menma passes on... Um...

Are you thinking that Yukiatsu

will look your way?

Anaru, you idiot.

On that day, I...

...wasn't able to stop you guys

from egging Jintan on.

Huh?

Say it! Say it! Say it! Say it! Say it!

Come on, say it, Jintan.

Yukiatsu, Poppo, stop it.

You're bothering Menma, too.

Menma!

Yukiatsu!

Back then, if I could've

stopped all of you...

Menma wouldn't have drowned in the river.

Is that what you thought?

Menma had said before

that the Super Peace

Busters would be forever.

That we'd be friends forever.

No matter if we fought,

no matter how big a gap

formed between us,

I thought we'd get back together.

But...

After losing just one of us,

we all drifted apart.

Tsuruko...

There was no way

I could make up

for the void Menma left behind.

That's why...

This time, for sure,

we have to make sure Menma...

Jintan.

Why don't we all get together tonight?

Let's all see Menma off together.

To be honest,

I don't think I could have

done all of this on my own.

Actually...

I saw it.

Saw what?

Seven years ago on that day...

I saw Menma die.

Jintan, where'd you go?

Are you hiding, too, Menma?

Menma! Menma!

Menma!

But I was so scared...

Menma!

All I could do... was watch

Menma go down the river...

Menma!

I couldn't do anything...

Poppo...

Menma... will pass on, right?

Will I be able to make it up to her?

It's not just me.

Everyone's guilt, and their attachment to Menma, keeps growing...

And yet, the end just

keeps drawing nearer.

Listen up, everyone.

Tomorrow, at last,

we're setting off the fireworks.

Goodbye Menma

Super Peace Busters

And tonight, the Super Peace Busters

have gotten back together for Menma-san!

All right! Let's have the star of

the show, Menma-san, come up front!

Goodbye Menma

Thank you, everyone.

She says thank you.

I will be passing on tomorrow.

Menma Passes On

She says she's going to pass on tomorrow.

I would like to stay with

everyone until the very end.

Thank you for having me.

She says she wants to stay

with everyone until the very end.

She's smiling.

I wonder if Menma's wish...

...is really just the rocket fireworks.

Is there anything else?

Jinta, on that day,

how did you really feel about Menma?

That day?

Anaru, why don't you try asking him again?

Hold on a sec...

Quit messing around.

Hurry up and say it.

Like you did back then.

I said, stop.

This is pointless.

He's right. Why would you

Couldn't it be that Menma came back...

...to redo that day?!

Don't you guys think that might

be part of her wish, as well?

Don't you want to redo that day, too?

Not that it matters, but...

Jintan,

you like...

...Menma, right?

You're the one who said no secrets

in the Super Peace Busters, Jintan.

Say it...

Say it! Say it! Say it!

Say it! Say it! Say it!

Say it! Say it! Say it!

Don't run away, Jintan!

If you run away now,

history will repeat itself!

Please... Tell her.

You need to tell Menma right this time.

How long are you going to

be stubborn, stupid Jintan?!

I love you.

I've wanted to apologize for

that day this whole time.

I don't expect you to forgive me.

So I wanted to at least

be able to grant your wish.

You came back...

You came back to us,

and brought us all back together.

It's all thanks to you, Menma.

Menma, I love you.

I love you very much, even now.

You knew what the answer

would be ever since that day,

so I'm surprised you still asked.
