Buddha Mountain Page #7

Synopsis: When they are evicted from their apartment in a provincial city in Northern China, a young bar singer and her two male friends rent rooms from a retired opera singer in Peking. The free-spirited young people chafe against a myriad of rules from their controlling landlady. They retaliate by playing unkind practical jokes on the older woman, who pays them back in kind. Their contest of wills escalates, culminating in a violation of trust by the tenants, but eventually the generations learn from each other and a familial bond is formed between them.

663

01:
03:37,730 -- 01:03:39,314

Huh? Did he ever care about me?

664

01:
03:39,941 -- 01:03:41,024

Did he ever care about you?

665

01:
03:43,152 -- 01:03:45,195

Sure, sure. You don't say anymore.

Okay, this is it.

I'm not crying.

670

01:
05:29,967 -- 01:05:31,551

Don't cry anymore, Nan Feng.

671

01:
05:35,014 -- 01:05:36,014

Nan Feng.

672

01:
05:36,182 -- 01:05:37,307

I'm fine.

673

01:
06:45,084 -- 01:06:47,669

I'm afraid my smoke bothers you.

674

01:
06:51,007 -- 01:06:52,716

Have a good sleep.

675

01:
07:04,854 -- 01:07:06,855

Did you quarrel with them?

676

01:
07:11,902 -- 01:07:12,986

Thinking of home?

677

01:
07:13,696 -- 01:07:17,509

No, no...

678

01:
07:22,747 -- 01:07:25,248

If you miss home, then go back.

Go back and take a look.

679

01:
07:25,416 -- 01:07:26,583

No.

680

01:
08:06,665 -- 01:08:09,250

I'm gone, will not come back again.

681

01:
08:49,625 -- 01:08:51,167

Do you have clothes to wash?

682

01:
08:56,006 -- 01:08:58,591

Are these dirty? Huh?

683

01:
09:00,511 -- 01:09:02,595

What is so mesmerising about the computer?

684

01:
09:03,556 -- 01:09:05,890

You can ignore everyone and

sit there for hours.

685

01:
09:07,601 -- 01:09:08,977

In the past, my son was just like you.

686

01:
09:09,145 -- 01:09:11,521

Once he sits there,

he ignores me when I talk to him.

687

01:
09:27,705 -- 01:09:29,581

I'm quite jealous of you.

688

01:
09:30,624 -- 01:09:33,793

- What are you jealous of?

- Because I'm not... I'm not good at anything.

689

01:
10:00,529 -- 01:10:03,323

You teach me how to use the computer,

and I will teach you Peking Opera.

690

01:
10:03,991 -- 01:10:05,617

How?

691

01:
10:39,777 -- 01:10:41,402

That was part of "Legend of the White Snake".

692

01:
10:41,987 -- 01:10:44,781

When the White Snake Lady and her son separated,

693

01:
10:44,949 -- 01:10:46,991

...she felt so sad.

694

01:
10:49,912 -- 01:10:52,789

Kissing son's face, kissing son's cheek.

695

01:
10:54,708 -- 01:10:56,584

Drops of tears fall onto the ground.

696

01:
10:56,794 -- 01:10:59,379

Listen. It is so touching.

697

01:
11:04,218 -- 01:11:05,969

What's going on with the two of you?

698

01:
11:06,136 -- 01:11:09,013

You two disliked each other at school in the past.

699

01:
11:09,181 -- 01:11:10,390

ow come you're together now?

700

01:
11:11,600 -- 01:11:13,226

e was into you at that time.

701

01:
11:13,394 -- 01:11:14,811

But you two never become a couple.

702

01:
11:15,020 -- 01:11:17,146

We went from one extreme to another.

703

01:
11:19,024 -- 01:11:21,025

Everything here has changed a lot.

704

01:
11:21,193 -- 01:11:24,362

Last time when we came here,

it wasn't called "Ju Xing".

705

01:
11:31,996 -- 01:11:34,122

Michael Jackson died, did you know that?

706

01:
11:36,083 -- 01:11:38,209

Jackson died!

707

01:
11:42,006 -- 01:11:43,172

Pay the bill!

708

01:
11:43,507 -- 01:11:44,799

Get the waiter.

709

01:
11:46,885 -- 01:11:48,094

Pay what bill?

710

01:
11:49,888 -- 01:11:51,472

Pay the bill!

711

01:
11:53,475 -- 01:11:54,892

Jackson is already dead.

712

01:
11:55,060 -- 01:11:56,394

Why do we have to pay the bill?

713

01:
11:59,523 -- 01:12:13,077

Long long way to go, we will go together.

714

01:
12:14,330 -- 01:12:22,712

I want to fly into all your colorful dreams.

715

01:
12:24,006 -- 01:12:34,395

To tell you, I love you.

I love you.

716

01:
13:10,177 -- 01:13:11,969

It is actually not easy.

717

01:
13:12,805 -- 01:13:13,971

In such a big city,

718

01:
13:16,975 -- 01:13:18,559

...our presence is insignificant.

719

01:
13:23,440 -- 01:13:25,400

Come on. Go, go, go...

720

01:
13:26,985 -- 01:13:29,445

Why are you hiding to yourseIf?

Why hide?

721

01:
13:29,613 -- 01:13:30,696

Watch out.

722

01:
13:30,864 -- 01:13:32,740

F***, get out.

723

01:
13:32,991 -- 01:13:35,034

F***. Why do you hide your feelings for her?

724

01:
13:35,619 -- 01:13:36,702

What do mean by hide?

725

01:
13:37,454 -- 01:13:38,538

What the f*** are you doing?

726

01:
13:38,705 -- 01:13:39,872

What the f*** are you doing?

727

01:
13:43,836 -- 01:13:46,170

Aye, a good dog never blocks the way.

728

01:
13:46,338 -- 01:13:47,713

Get out!

729

01:
13:48,590 -- 01:13:50,967

F***! You don't know who am I?

730

01:
13:51,135 -- 01:13:52,718

You don't know who am I?

731

01:
13:55,764 -- 01:13:56,764

- Who cares?

- You f***er!

732

01:
13:57,182 -- 01:13:59,308

- You wait here.

- You f***er!

733

01:
13:59,852 -- 01:14:01,769

- Just wait here.

- Wait. I will wait.

734

01:
14:03,355 -- 01:14:04,814

Run, f***er.

735

01:
14:04,982 -- 01:14:06,524

Get out!

736

01:
14:06,692 -- 01:14:08,734

Don't you run!

737

01:
14:17,286 -- 01:14:18,494

Let's go!

738

01:
14:24,501 -- 01:14:26,586

Nan Feng, you're here.

739

01:
14:26,753 -- 01:14:27,795

Where's your mom?

740

01:
14:27,963 -- 01:14:29,297

I didn't let her come.

741

01:
14:31,383 -- 01:14:32,842

Aren't you think of drinking everyday?

Right?

742

01:
14:33,010 -- 01:14:33,843

What are you doing?

743

01:
14:34,011 -- 01:14:34,969

Aren't you think of drinking everyday?

744

01:
14:35,137 -- 01:14:36,554

Today, you just sit here!

745

01:
14:36,930 -- 01:14:38,347

I'll drink and you watch, ok?

746

01:
14:38,515 -- 01:14:39,891

- Just sit here!

- What are you doing?

747

01:
14:40,058 -- 01:14:41,225

Don't move!

748

01:
14:41,393 -- 01:14:42,560

You just sit there!

749

01:
14:43,562 -- 01:14:44,729

Nan Feng.

750

01:
14:45,689 -- 01:14:46,814

Sit!

751

01:
14:46,982 -- 01:14:49,942

- Watch me drink, you just watch

- Why are you doing this, Nan Feng?

752

01:
14:50,527 -- 01:14:51,736

Don't do this, Nan Feng!

753

01:
14:55,908 -- 01:14:57,325

Nan Feng...

754

01:
15:01,288 -- 01:15:02,622

Why are you doing this?

755

01:
15:03,123 -- 01:15:04,499

Don't you like to drink?

756

01:
15:04,666 -- 01:15:05,374

Don't you like to drink?

757

01:
15:05,542 -- 01:15:06,584

Don't you like to drink everyday?

758

01:
15:06,752 -- 01:15:08,544

Aren't you drinking everyday?

You drink!

759

01:
15:09,171 -- 01:15:10,087

I drink!

760

01:
15:10,255 -- 01:15:11,255

I drink till I die!

761

01:
15:14,468 -- 01:15:15,718

Nan Feng...

762

01:
15:17,888 -- 01:15:19,889

Take this and drink until you kill yourself.

763

01:
15:20,182 -- 01:15:21,474

Drink!

764

01:
15:33,070 -- 01:15:35,571

- Go.

- Going home?

765

01:
18:31,748 -- 01:18:33,791

Why can you be with other girls,

766

01:
18:34,960 -- 01:18:37,002

...but not with me?

767

01:
18:43,969 -- 01:18:45,094
