Crossover Page #2

Synopsis: A naturally talented basketball player, Noah Cruise is determined to become a doctor using his basketball scholarship to UCLA pre-med, rather than succumb to the lure of former sports agent Vaughn and go for the NBA. His best friend, the buddy that took the fall for him and did the time for an assault charge, Tech, also an outstanding basketball player, has less lofty ambitions: he wants to get his GED and win an underground street ball game against his arrogant rival, Jewelz. Their lives change drastically when they both fall in love with two local girls, Vanessa Lilly and Eboni Jackson, and take fateful trip out to L.A. together.

- What, what now?

- Do something with it.

97

00:
10:49,078 -- 00:10:50,306

Tech!

98

00:
10:55,051 -- 00:10:57,019

17-15. We've got it.

99

00:
10:57,086 -- 00:11:00,146

- I got Jewelz!

- Let's see some defense on here.

100

00:
11:02,558 -- 00:11:05,686

Hey, they fouling. Ref, they foul...

101

00:
11:05,762 -- 00:11:07,753

No fouls? No? Not in this game?

102

00:
11:07,830 -- 00:11:10,663

All right, here we go! Here we go, let's push!

103

00:
11:10,733 -- 00:11:13,930

Okay, pass the ball to Tech!

Tech, got that jumper!

104

00:
11:24,080 -- 00:11:25,547

Where you at?

105

00:
11:25,882 -- 00:11:28,646

Off their head! Off their head!

What the f***?

106

00:
11:36,192 -- 00:11:37,784

All right, baby!

107

00:
11:38,428 -- 00:11:39,486

Yeah!

108

00:
11:39,562 -- 00:11:42,292

Cruise! Bring the ball up man! Come on!

109

00:
11:46,903 -- 00:11:48,234

Okay, that's what I'm talking about!

110

00:
11:48,304 -- 00:11:52,035

- Come back! Come back down here.

- You got him. You got him.

111

00:
11:56,913 -- 00:11:58,904

Who the hell is that kid?

112

00:
11:59,916 -- 00:12:03,579

19-17. Two more points, we win. Let's do it!

113

00:
12:03,653 -- 00:12:05,985

We have an upset here.

We have an upset in the making.

114

00:
12:06,055 -- 00:12:07,750

Hold him! Hold him!

115

00:
12:07,824 -- 00:12:10,918

Come on, Big Man. I'll make you big.

Come on.

116

00:
12:15,264 -- 00:12:16,891

And two to us.

117

00:
12:17,667 -- 00:12:21,034

Here we go, y'all! 19-18! Next basket wins!

118

00:
12:21,838 -- 00:12:22,862

Let's go. Where you going?

119

00:
12:22,939 -- 00:12:25,407

Where you going

with that weak-ass handle?

120

00:
12:25,641 -- 00:12:26,938

Throw it!

121

00:
12:29,011 -- 00:12:30,239

Come on, Ref!

122

00:
12:30,513 -- 00:12:31,980

He's faking! Look at him!

123

00:
12:32,048 -- 00:12:34,016

Man, watch the game!

124

00:
12:34,083 -- 00:12:37,314

Go, Jewelz! Go, Jewelz!

125

00:
12:37,386 -- 00:12:40,287

And it's a tied game, y'all.

But the game is 21.

126

00:
12:40,356 -- 00:12:42,290

Go, Jewelz. Go, Jewelz.

127

00:
12:42,358 -- 00:12:45,452

If he misses one, we can take these chumps!

128

00:
12:45,528 -- 00:12:47,689

You turned this into a thing.

129

00:
12:49,465 -- 00:12:51,763

Miss it! Miss it!

130

00:
12:54,804 -- 00:12:56,772

19-up, y'all. 19-up.

131

00:
12:56,839 -- 00:13:00,104

One time. One time. One time.

132

00:
13:02,044 -- 00:13:04,808

Just miss it!

Come on, you're going to miss it!

133

00:
13:04,881 -- 00:13:06,371

Just miss it!

134

00:
13:06,849 -- 00:13:09,647

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about!

Come back. Come back down here!

135

00:
13:09,719 -- 00:13:11,311

Ball. Ball up.

136

00:
13:11,387 -- 00:13:13,082

Here we go. We got this.

137

00:
13:13,322 -- 00:13:14,914

Let's do it. Let's do it.

138

00:
13:14,991 -- 00:13:16,891

Yo, Tech! Tech! Over here! Pass the ball!

139

00:
13:16,959 -- 00:13:19,393

You got them, man!

140

00:
13:19,462 -- 00:13:23,990

All right, Tech, shoot the ball!

Shoot! Tech, shoot!

141

00:
13:25,234 -- 00:13:29,136

- Tech! Tech! Tech!

- Defense. Defense.

142

00:
13:29,672 -- 00:13:31,435

And game!

143

00:
13:39,282 -- 00:13:41,113

Defense! Come on!

144

00:
13:41,184 -- 00:13:44,051

- Hey, right down there.

- Come on, end it, right here.

145

00:
13:44,120 -- 00:13:46,714

Defense! Defense!

146

00:
13:46,789 -- 00:13:49,155

- Come on, baby. Let's go now!

- Defense!

147

00:
13:53,462 -- 00:13:54,759

Tech, go!

148

00:
13:55,298 -- 00:13:56,959

Do that move, man!

149

00:
14:22,992 -- 00:14:25,256

Y'all know we could really use

the win here, right?

150

00:
14:25,328 -- 00:14:27,057

Come on, Big. Not today, man.

151

00:
14:27,129 -- 00:14:28,687

What happens on the court

stays on the court.

152

00:
14:28,764 -- 00:14:30,459

Yo man, I'm just saying.

153

00:
14:30,533 -- 00:14:32,467

Ain't no "l" in "team", you hear me.

154

00:
14:32,535 -- 00:14:35,732

Ain't no "we" in team neither, so you need

to chill out with all that B.S., man.

155

00:
14:35,805 -- 00:14:38,330

When I say Platinum, y'all say Jewelz!

156

00:
14:38,407 -- 00:14:39,533

- Platinum!

- Jewelz!

157

00:
14:39,609 -- 00:14:40,735

- Platinum!

- Jewelz!

158

00:
14:40,810 -- 00:14:43,040

When I say Platinum, y'all say Jewelz!

159

00:
14:43,112 -- 00:14:44,306

- Platinum!

- Jewelz!

160

00:
14:44,380 -- 00:14:45,540

- Platinum!

- Jewelz!

161

00:
14:45,615 -- 00:14:47,139

Good game, man.

162

00:
14:47,483 -- 00:14:50,247

Let me know when I have a bad one. Sucker.

163

00:
14:50,319 -- 00:14:52,787

When I say Platinum, y'all say Jewelz!

164

00:
14:52,889 -- 00:14:54,015

- Platinum!

- Jewelz!

165

00:
14:54,090 -- 00:14:55,455

- Platinum!

- Jewelz!

166

00:
14:55,524 -- 00:14:57,321

When I say Platinum, y'all say Jewelz!

167

00:
14:57,393 -- 00:15:00,954

Yo, look, man. We took an "L",

but overall I think we did all right.

168

00:
15:01,030 -- 00:15:03,464

Good ball movement. Good teamwork.

169

00:
15:21,183 -- 00:15:23,151

Well, come on, you've got to love this.

170

00:
15:23,219 -- 00:15:24,208

I'm impressed.

171

00:
15:24,287 -- 00:15:26,949

Nice? See, Greek meets Urban.

172

00:
15:27,023 -- 00:15:29,150

- It's hot, right?

- It's hot.

173

00:
15:32,561 -- 00:15:34,586

So, this is your life now?

174

00:
15:35,097 -- 00:15:39,557

This club

and underground basketball games?

175

00:
15:39,869 -- 00:15:42,360

- It's a living.

- You were making a living.

176

00:
15:42,438 -- 00:15:47,205

I was a sports agent in Los Angeles,

emphasis on the "lost".

177

00:
15:47,276 -- 00:15:50,006

Yo, I was a doormat, Nikki.

178

00:
15:50,079 -- 00:15:53,310

Look, the World Series and the NBA finals

179

00:
15:53,382 -- 00:15:55,543

are the two most bet-on games

in the country.

180

00:
15:55,618 -- 00:15:59,884

But I bet you that they're not all made

in legal houses in Las Vegas.

181

00:
15:59,956 -- 00:16:03,722

See, at least this way, I'm giving these kids

an opportunity to make money

182

00:
16:03,793 -- 00:16:05,920

doing what they love to do.

183

00:
16:06,295 -- 00:16:10,925

- How much are you paying them?

- A G a player. Two, if they win.

184

00:
16:12,134 -- 00:16:14,830

And you always know who's going to win?

185

00:
16:15,104 -- 00:16:18,801

You don't think they always know

who's going to win in Las Vegas?

186

00:
16:18,874 -- 00:16:23,311

Nikki, I didn't go to college to work

in some mailroom and answer phones.

187

00:
16:23,913 -- 00:16:27,110

At least here, I run the place.

They don't run me.

188

00:
16:45,901 -- 00:16:48,461

- Hey, Ma!

- Yeah?

189

00:
16:52,375 -- 00:16:53,603

Hey, Ma.

190

00:
16:56,912 -- 00:16:58,038

Hey.

191

00:
16:59,548 -- 00:17:03,279

I got some milk and stuff from the store

192

00:
17:03,352 -- 00:17:06,082

for Melanie and Malik

to have with their breakfast.

193

00:
17:06,155 -- 00:17:09,716

- What's up with the candles?

- They turned off the lights.
