SARAH:

(playfully)

Well, aren't you a handsome stranger? You must be new around here.

KHALED:

(smiling back)

Not really. I've been around... but I guess I'm not easy to spot.

SARAH:

Maybe you just need someone to show you around, huh? How about a cup of coffee… on the house?

Khaled pauses, considering her for a moment, then nods slightly.

KHALED:

I'll take you up on that offer.

Meanwhile, Jenny is staring out the window, lost in her thoughts, not noticing the exchange. Joe leans in, nudging her and speaking in a teasing tone.

JOE:

(taunting)

Your lover, the one you adore and despise all at once, is in danger. Look, your precious Khaled... The one who will cause our death because of your recklessness..

Jenny turns to glare at Joe.

JENNY:

(pissed)

Screw you, Joe. This isn't funny!

JOE:

(grinning)

Look at the waitress. Shes stealing him right from under your nose.

Jenny's eyes widen. She jumps up and marches over to Sarah, furious. Without a moment's hesitation, she SLAPS Sarah hard across the face.

JENNY:

You b*tch! He has a girlfriend!

Sarah holds her cheek, stunned, while Khaled looks on with a raised eyebrow. Jenny leans in close to him, whispering fiercely.

JENNY:

(tone full of urgency)

Tell them you have a girlfriend, or I swear I'll expose your secret about the stuffed teddy bear you sleep with.

Khaled expression hardens, but there's a hint of embarrassment as he glances around, trying to decide his next move.

The customers watch with curiosity, KHALED stands in front of JENNY, gazing deeply into her eyes.

Suddenly, he pulls her close and kisses her—bold and unexpected, yet romantic. The kiss is filled with passion, but there's a hint of challenge.

JENNY stands frozen, unable to comprehend what just happened, while KHALED playfully brushes her hair back.

calmly and teasingly, turning towards JOE without looking at JENNY..

KHALED:

Yeah, I have a girlfriend, and she's a bit crazy.

JENNY feels a surge of jealousy, her anger rising. She quickly follows KHALED, pulling JOE roughly, causing him to fall to the ground.

JENNY takes his seat with determination, leaving JOE staring at her in confusion.

JENNY:

(sharply, glaring at KHALED)

You enjoy this, don't you? Playing with my feelings? You think you can get away with it? Then choose now, Khaled: is it MARSHA or me? Because I won't be your second choice.

KHALED smirks mischievously, moving closer to her, placing a hand on her hair.

KHALED:

(in a playful tone)

Do you really think I'd choose so easily? What makes you think I'd leave you? You love the jealousy and the drama too much, don't you?

(gently cups her chin)

You know you're enjoying every moment.

JENNY, reaching her boiling point, grabs his shirt and pulls him toward her.

JENNY:

(threateningly, trying to control her emotions)

Don't play with me, Khaled.

KHALED grins slyly, then leans in and kisses her again, this time lingering longer, leaving her stunned.

He pulls back, laughing as he gazes at her.

KHALED:

(in a calm, playful voice)

Ah, how I love to make you angry and tease you. This feeling... I'm addicted to it more than I am to smoking.

JENNY staring at him, torn between anger and affection.

KHALED:

(as calling Sarah)

Ma'am,can i get a cup of coffee to go please?

JENNY:

I will bring it, you just don't move.

JENNY approaches JOE, who is sprawled on the floor, and nudges him with her foot.

JENNY:

(annoyed, yet playful)

Get up, you're embarrassing us!

She moves toward the counter to get coffee, muttering under her breath.

JENNY:

(to herself)

You're really pathetic. I don't know how your wife ever accepted you.

JOE slowly rises to sit upright, rubbing his head as he glances at KHALED, who is still focused on JENNY.

JOE:

(curiously)

So, do you plan to tell her the truth, or are you leaving it up to fate?

KHALED:

(with a thoughtful expression)

When the time is right. But let her enjoy her moment. I love seeing her happy.

JOE leans in closer, lowering his voice.

KHALED:

You know, those creatures have started to show up again. The fog that MARSHA brought is creeping into the forest, and it's coming for the city.

JOE:

(nods, serious)

Oh, you was with her.

KHALED:

(warningly)

Don't tell JENNY.

Just then, JENNY returns with coffee, a bright smile on her face. She places the cups on the table and playfully shoves JOE aside.

JENNY:

(mocking)

Move over, or I'll break your arm!

JOE scoots aside, and JENNY sits next to KHALED, resting her chin on her hands, looking at him intently.

JENNY:

(smirking)

So, what were you doing in the dark woods?

Khaled expression remains calm as he smirks back.

KHALED:

(coolly)

Oh, you know... just enjoying the scenery.

JENNY narrows her eyes, not buying it.

JENNY:

Scenery? Come on, Khaled. You must have seen something interesting.

KHALED chuckles, unfazed by her persistence.

KHALED:

(playfully)

Just the usual. Shadows, whispers... nothing you'd want to know about.

JENNY leans in closer, her curiosity piqued.

JENNY:

(teasingly)

Are you sure it wasn't MARSHA? I mean, I'd love to hear the details.

KHALED raises an eyebrow, maintaining his composure.

KHALED:

(smirking)

And why would you think that?

JENNY presses on, feigning innocence.

JENNY:

(with a sly grin)

I don't know. Just a hunch. You do seem to enjoy her company.

Khaled smile falters slightly, but he quickly recovers.

KHALED:

(playfully)

Well, I'll let you in on a secret: the fog might be hiding more than just shadows.

JENNY, sensing his evasiveness, leans back, crossing her arms.

JENNY:

(challenging)

You're not going to admit it, are you? That you were with MARSHA?

KHALED chuckles softly, shaking his head.

KHALED:

(with a teasing tone)

Why would I admit to something that isn't true? Besides, I like keeping you guessing.

JENNY huffs, clearly frustrated but intrigued.

JENNY:

(grinning despite herself)

One day, Khaled, you'll have to come clean.

I started my career in a country that does not value talent. I wrote several plays, short films, and local songs over time, and since 2007, I have been in this field, waiting for an offer from a film company in my country. I even turned down offers from America. In return, I faced mockery, was ridiculed because of my state, and was called crazy and poor. But this did not prevent me from persevering and not giving up. I used that madness to create crazy characters that are now studied in international psychology schools. But they do not know that this "madman" wrote four movies and TV shows in one month. They do not know that this "madman" can write a 10-episode series in a single week. They do not know that since 2007 until now, this "madman" has successfully written over a million scripts. They do not know that this "madman" succeeded in turning several video games into movies when the game company itself couldn’t do it. He challenged himself and found a way to bring Imhotep back from the underworld in "The Mummy" when the scriptwriter failed to do so. So, praise the Lord for the blessings you have, because if I receive a job offer from a film company, I will dominate the film industry and prove to the world why I deserve the title of "The King of Writers" and "The Unstoppable Machine." more…
