EXT. OUTSIDE THE SMALL DINER - AFTERNOON

A thick fog rolls in, wrapping the area in an eerie haze. Suddenly, a large swarm of bizarre CREATURES bursts from the shadows, flapping violently.

resembling a bat in size but with crocodile eyes and lion-like fangs. Panic ensues among the crowd gathered outside the restaurant.

CROWD MEMBER 1

(terrified)

What on earth are those things?!

CROWD MEMBER 2

(shaking)

I don't know, but they look dangerous! Should we run?

CROWD MEMBER 3

(pointing)

Look at their eyes! They're watching us!

CROWD MEMBER 4

(voice trembling)

Why are they coming out now? What do they want?

CROWD MEMBER 5

(screaming)

We need to get inside! Now!

The crowd begins to panic, shoving each other as they try to find safety inside the restaurant.

CROWD MEMBER 1

(running)

Get in! Hurry!

CROWD MEMBER 2

(frantic)

I can't believe this is happening! What is going on in this town?

As the creatures soar overhead, their eerie cries fill the air, further intensifying the fear that grips the people.

CROWD MEMBER 3

(looking up)

Is it just me, or are they getting closer?

The crowd continues to scream and scatter, desperately seeking refuge from the approaching threat.

INT. SMALL DINER - AFTERNOON

Khaled sits quietly in a corner of the restaurant, holding a cup of coffee with an enticing aroma. He slowly exhales smoke from his cigarette, rising toward the ceiling, while his gaze focuses on the window.

KHALED:

(softly)

It has begun.

Joe and jenny head towards the window, anxious, while Khaled remains seated, drinking his coffee and smoking as if the outside world doesn't concern him.

EXT. OUTSIDE THE SMALL DINER - AFTERNOON

Joe and jenny step out of the restaurant, guns dangling from their hands, staring at the creatures flying above the city.

JOE:

(surprised)

What's happening? Did you see those creatures?!

JENNY:

(worried)

We need to do something! We can't just stand here!

JOE:

(getting ready)

Do you think we should use the gun? But what if they're stronger than we think?

JENNY:

(taking a deep breath)

We have to be prepared for anything. We can't let the city fall into chaos.

As they watch the creatures, a loud roar rises in the distance, sharpening their focus.

Suddenly, one of the creatures lunges at Joe, making a deafening screech. In a swift moment, Joe and jenny retreats into the restaurant, slamming the door behind him.

JOE:

(breathing heavily)

That was too close!

JENNY:

(looking out the window)

What do we do now? If they're here, there must be more of them!

JOE:

(placing his hand on the gun)

We need to come up with a plan. We won't let them enter the city.

JENNY:

(worried)

But I feel like things are getting out of control...

Smoke continues to rise from Khaled coffee cup, while he remains seated, unfazed by the commotion outside.

KHALED:

What a beautiful sight.
