take you to hell with me.
INT. FRANKS CONDO - MOMENTS LATER

WILLIAM:
I want to thank you Frank. For
helping me again.
FRANK:
Don’t worry about it, I kind of
need the company.
WILLIAM:
So, what’s next?
FRANK:
Well right now, you just focus on
staying out the streets and
getting yourself clean.
Frank opens a briefcase which has his vest, guns, tasers etc.
WILLIAM:
Where you going?
FRANK:
I have to stop by the pit to ask
some questions I’m sure somebody
WILLIAM:
Anything I can do while I’m here
FRANK:
Yeah eat and get some rest and you
better be here when I get back if
not, I will arrest your ass.
WILLIAM:
Yeah, yeah. I got it
INT. THE PIT - MOMENTS LATER- NIGHT
Franks parks down the road from The Pit. The Pit is located in downtown
Deadtide, where most of the neighborhood and population is made up of
homeless people and junkies.
Frank gets out of his car and goes to the back of his truck to open his
black suitcase where he gets his 9mm pistol. He puts it in his right
coat pocket and he also grabs his 22 pistol to clip under his ankle of
17.
Frank closes the door to the truck, puts a cigarette to his mouth, and
walks the neighborhood hoping to find something suspicious.
EXT.DETECTIVE RODGERS HOME
Detective Rodgers walks around his house with a cozy outfit drinking a
cup of coffee until he stops in the master bedroom where he sees his
wife Rebecca.
REBECCA:
Honey you need some sleep.
Detective Rodgers goes and lays down on his wife stomach.
DETECTIVE RODGERS
I know it’s just-
(sigh)
-ever since I’ve had this badge,
all I ever wanted to be is a good
detective and weed out the evil in
this town.
REBECCA:
You have. You put away many
criminals and solved a bunch of
cases don’t go feeling like it’s
your first case or whatever, babe.
knowing Deadtides’ best detective
is right here next to me.
Thanks.
DETECTIVE RODGERS
(he kiss Rebecca)
This case just feels different.
This is not like the others,
normal perks your average crimes,
nothing like this one.
Detective Rodgers gets up from his wife stomach to get a pack of
cigarettes from the dresser.
REBECCA:
Look at you. When did you start
that back up?
DETECTIVE RODGERS
After this case I’ll quit again
but right now I’m f***ing
stressed. We have no leads, no
witnesses no nothing and for god
sakes we don’t even know who the
hell we’re looking for.
Detective Rodgers flops down on his bed and gets into a fetal position.
18.
Frank walks up to an old door and knocks.
MYSTERY THUG:
(through the door)
You’re on the wrong side of town.
FRANK:
Nah I think this the right place.
THUG #1
Yo this the PD.
(whispering)
Yo bag that sh*t up.
FRANK:
C’mon I’m not here for that and if
I was, I wouldn’t of knock. Let me
in, I need to talk to Pedro.
THUG #1
Pedro not here. Like I said, wrong
house.
Frank steps back pulls out his gun and shoots the handles off the door.
He kicks the door down and aims his pistol at Thug #1.
THUG #1
Yo! Yo! Yo! Chill, chill! Don’t
shoot!
FRANK:
Look what you made me? I asked to
see Pedro.
Three thugs stand around the living room, surrounding Frank. Their guns
are pointed in his direction.
FRANK:
C’mon guys take me to Pedro I
really don’t want to have to do my
job, please.
THUG #2
Just say the word
FRANK:
(smiling)
A part of me that was living died
a long time ago so by you pulling
that trigger you would be doing me
a favor
19.
PEDRO (O.S)
Yo if this PD why the motherf***er
not dead yet. I told y’all lazy
motherfuckers, don’t let anyone
interrupt business. Who is it?
FRANK:
It’s Frank!
All the thugs in the room look confused.
THUG #1
You know this puto?
PEDRO:
(surprise)
Yo get the f*** out of here! Let
him in. I know this pig.
The thugs walk Frank to the kitchen where they were bagging up cocaine.
PEDRO:
I thought you retired?
FRANK:
Well I’m back... just one last
job.
PEDRO:
I can’t believe it’s really you. I
thought you hit the high road when
you left narcotics for Homicide
FRANK:
Nah I just been up under your
nose. Your drug ring is not my
business anymore.
PEDRO:
Enough of the catching up. What
really brings you to my place of
business?
FRANK:
AA stripper was murdered a couple
of days ago and I was wondering
what’s the deal on that?
PEDRO:
What stripper? Be specific. I deal
with a lot of girls in and out of
this town.
