Feggy hurries after them and BARRELS in on top of them.

BILLY:

(sharply)

How do you know?

FEGGY:

Sure they're all down in

Flanagan's, invitin' everyone. You

Breffni grabs Billy around the neck.

BREFFNI:

Indeedin' he's not. He's on a

promise tonight.

take her off me hands so?

Eoghan doesn't know how to react until Billy LAUGHS.

Breffni jostles into the side of Billy as the place is really

starting to fill up.

BREFFNI:

Come on, let's get with the girls!

Billy throws a quick eye over the dance floor to see that

BREFFNI:

Many moons since I've seen you in

EILISH:

And to think I wouldn't even let ye

dance with me back then, never

mind...

Breffni winks at her.

Billy sits in rather stiffly beside Breda.

Breda gives him a warm welcoming smile. Billy does his best

to return it. They are both aware of how easily Breffni and

Eilish are bantering. They sit in silence for a moment.

Breda reaches over and touches the LAPEL OF HIS JACKET.

BREDA:

Ye look... real well Mister

Farrell.

BILLY:

So do you.

Breda indicates Breffni and Eilish who are deep in

conversation.

BREDA:

Would ye ever have thought it?

BILLY:

No, but sure let them at it. Best

Billy is at the counter waiting on drinks. Feggy barrels in

Billy watches as they reach the floor and begin to move

together to a LAID BACK DANCE TRACK.

He turns to see Breda smiling at him and going to stand up.

BREDA:

Well Bill, will we continue that

dance we were havin' earlier.

Billy doesn't move.
