00:
14:36,375 -- 00:14:38,400

Kurt and Eric would come back

from their graves

209

00:
14:39,111 -- 00:14:41,204

and beat my ass.

210

00:
14:45,217 -- 00:14:49,313

David, I ve been in this gym

since your brothers started it.

211

00:
14:49,355 -- 00:14:52,290

You're like

a kid brother to me.

212

00:
14:54,393 -- 00:14:57,157

There's only

so much I can do.

213

00:
14:57,196 -- 00:15:00,393

You know I appreciate

everything you're doing for me.

214

00:
15:02,334 -- 00:15:06,327

Gimme that.

Go on, get out of here.

215

00:
15:06,372 -- 00:15:10,206

I'll do what I can here.

I gotta fix my feet.

216

00:
15:10,242 -- 00:15:14,178

Yeah, you fix your feet.

217

00:
15:14,213 -- 00:15:16,374

I got a date with

an overcooked pot roast.

218

00:
15:21,287 -- 00:15:23,152

Hey, Jack...

219

00:
15:25,257 -- 00:15:27,248

thanks, man.

220

00:
15:27,293 -- 00:15:28,317

Okay.

221

00:
15:42,308 -- 00:15:44,208

How's he doing?

222

00:
15:44,243 -- 00:15:47,337

He did about 367,

223

00:
15:47,379 -- 00:15:49,313

so he has about...

224

00:
15:49,348 -- 00:15:51,475

133 left.

225

00:
15:54,219 -- 00:15:56,346

Hey, tough guy.

226

00:
15:56,388 -- 00:15:58,185

What?

227

00:
15:58,223 -- 00:16:02,216

- You got a place to stay?

- I got 1000 places.

228

00:
16:03,228 -- 00:16:06,391

You got a cot down in the basement

if you finish your test.

229

00:
16:06,432 -- 00:16:08,332

You got that?

230

00:
16:08,367 -- 00:16:10,335

Don't let him cripple himself.

231

00:
16:10,369 -- 00:16:12,234

Yeah.

232

00:
16:30,422 -- 00:16:31,446

Woman:
How is it?

233

00:
16:31,490 -- 00:16:34,220

It's great, Mrs. Wagner.

234

00:
16:34,259 -- 00:16:35,351

Yeah, it's great, Mom.

235

00:
16:35,394 -- 00:16:38,363

I think I overcooked

it a little.

236

00:
16:38,397 -- 00:16:39,386

No, it's perfect.

237

00:
16:39,431 -- 00:16:42,457

Let's get out of here

and go for a walk.

238

00:
16:42,501 -- 00:16:44,435

It s your turn

to wash the dishes.

239

00:
16:44,470 -- 00:16:46,335

It's Kristen's turn.

240

00:
16:48,474 -- 00:16:50,339

Mom.

241

00:
16:54,246 -- 00:16:56,305

Brian's getting tough

to live with.

242

00:
16:56,348 -- 00:16:57,372

Yeah.

243

00:
17:01,286 -- 00:17:02,446

I'll help you out.

244

00:
17:04,356 -- 00:17:05,516

Gotta go to Susie's.

245

00:
17:07,459 -- 00:17:10,360

See you later, David.

246

00:
17:10,396 -- 00:17:11,488

Yeah.

247

00:
17:14,366 -- 00:17:18,462

Brian said he had an offer

to become a professional.

248

00:
17:18,504 -- 00:17:20,404

Yeah.

That's right.

249

00:
17:20,439 -- 00:17:21,531

He s ready, isn't he?

250

00:
17:22,274 -- 00:17:24,435

Yeah, as a fighter,

he's ready.

251

00:
17:26,445 -- 00:17:29,380

In the ring he's as good

as I ve ever seen.

252

00:
17:31,316 -- 00:17:33,546

But, he's just not ready

in other ways.

253

00:
17:34,553 -- 00:17:38,489

Brian has his mind

set on doing this now,

254

00:
17:38,524 -- 00:17:41,288

and no one can

talk him out of it.

255

00:
17:44,563 -- 00:17:46,497

Look after him.

256

00:
17:51,370 -- 00:17:53,304

Don't let him get hurt.

257

00:
18:11,557 -- 00:18:15,516

Sometimes it's better to flow

than to attack.

258

00:
18:15,561 -- 00:18:18,428

Sometimes it's better

to attack.

259

00:
18:18,464 -- 00:18:19,453

Yeah.

260

00:
18:19,498 -- 00:18:22,467

And the wise man

knows when to do which, right?

261

00:
18:22,501 -- 00:18:26,528

Dad used to work in a factory

12 hours a day.

262

00:
18:26,572 -- 00:18:30,406

He flowed.

What did it get him?

263

00:
18:30,442 -- 00:18:32,569

A heart attack.

Boom!

264

00:
18:32,611 -- 00:18:35,478

It's not gonna

happen to me.

265

00:
18:35,514 -- 00:18:39,348

At least let me

get you a good manager.

266

00:
18:39,384 -- 00:18:40,578

Maciah is wrong for you.

267

00:
18:40,619 -- 00:18:42,587

You're wrong for me, David.

268

00:
18:42,621 -- 00:18:45,351

Who are you

to give me advice?

269

00:
18:45,390 -- 00:18:48,587

You're about to lose

your brothers' gym.

270

00:
18:48,627 -- 00:18:51,425

Don't try to drag me

down with you.

271

00:
18:51,463 -- 00:18:53,624

- Hey!

- Stay the f*** out of my way.

272

00:
19:29,501 -- 00:19:32,493

Jack!

Yes, it's me.

273

00:
19:33,572 -- 00:19:36,632

Listen, set me up

with that fight, okay?

274

00:
19:36,675 -- 00:19:38,666

Before I change

my mind.

275

00:
20:09,708 -- 00:20:11,642

David:
You're coming

along great.

276

00:
20:11,677 -- 00:20:14,646

I'm really proud of you.

You're doing really good.

277

00:
20:14,680 -- 00:20:17,649

Don't worry about being

the same as the other guy,

278

00:
20:17,683 -- 00:20:20,675

because everybody's different.

We all have our own styles.

279

00:
20:20,719 -- 00:20:24,553

That's why we ve developed

different forms of martial arts.

280

00:
20:24,590 -- 00:20:28,651

There's karate, judo,

ju-jitsu, kickboxing.

281

00:
20:28,694 -- 00:20:31,458

All of these

different disciplines

282

00:
20:31,496 -- 00:20:34,556

have one thing in common,

a single goal.

283

00:
20:34,600 -- 00:20:36,591

Yeah!

To kick ass.

284

00:
20:36,635 -- 00:20:37,533

Shut up!

285

00:
20:37,569 -- 00:20:39,662

Thank you for pointing out

the universal truth.

286

00:
20:39,705 -- 00:20:43,664

A small mind and big mouth

is usually found together.

287

00:
20:45,644 -- 00:20:46,633

Control!

288

00:
20:46,678 -- 00:20:48,703

Hey, control is everything.

289

00:
20:48,747 -- 00:20:52,683

Whether you're a fighter,

a carpenter, or a lawyer,

290

00:
20:52,718 -- 00:20:55,551

a banker, whatever you do,

291

00:
20:55,587 -- 00:20:57,748

the obstacles you face in life

is gonna be the same.

292

00:
21:01,526 -- 00:21:05,587

Daily life is full

of obstacles and temptations

293

00:
21:05,631 -- 00:21:08,691

that's gonna try and break

the smooth surface of the mind.

294

00:
21:08,734 -- 00:21:11,726

Control is how you overcome

these temptations.

295

00:
21:11,770 -- 00:21:15,729

You control your emotions,

you control your life.

296

00:
21:23,615 -- 00:21:24,775

Okay, hit the showers.

297

00:
21:34,626 -- 00:21:35,615

David.

298

00:
21:41,767 -- 00:21:43,735

I can't hardly blame him.

299

00:
21:43,769 -- 00:21:46,761

Yeah, right.

So what'd you get?

300

00:
21:46,805 -- 00:21:49,672

Saturday night at the Civic.

301

00:
21:49,708 -- 00:21:50,697

Who?

302

00:
21:52,544 -- 00:21:53,738

Neil Vargas.

303

00:
21:54,746 -- 00:21:57,772

Jesus Christ, Jack!

That's a UKA bout.

304

00:
21:57,816 -- 00:22:01,582

There're no other bouts to be had.

Everybody's caving in to Maciah.

305

00:
22:02,587 -- 00:22:03,747

I got you a good deal.

306

00:
22:05,557 -- 00:22:07,582

If it makes you

feel any better,

307

00:
22:07,626 -- 00:22:09,685

you don't have

any other options.

308

00:
22:24,776 -- 00:22:27,574

You guys know where

the locker room is.

309

00:
22:27,612 -- 00:22:28,840

Be there in a bit.

310

00:
22:32,617 -- 00:22:35,586

Your brothers would have been

real proud of you today.
