WOMAN (VOICE SCREAMING)
No.
Lola looks at the other side and stops. Aziz is also with her. Lola looks at Aziz and he shakes his head. They move on. BLACKOUT
EXT. STREETS OF HIGH- RISE BUILDINGS
On the ground, bonfires are burning here and there. One WOMAN AND A MAN are chasing A 14-YEAR-OLD BOY. He hugs the bottled water tightly in his chest and runs away from them. Turns around. They're getting close. A woman with disheveled hair stops, takes short breaths and aiming a gun, shoots forward. The man runs up to the lying body of the boy and takes the bottle. There's some water in there. He drinks greedily. The woman shoots him in the leg. The man screams and drops the water. The woman picks up the bottle and, without taking her eyes off the puffing partner, takes a sip. BLACKOUT
EXT. FIELDS NEAR HIGH-RISE BUILDINGS
Our heroes are hiding behind two-story buildings, watching high-rise buildings. You can hear laughter, screaming and crying a little in the distance. Lola is scared. She does not take her eyes off the high-rise buildings.
The heroes are approaching the buildings.
LOLA It's interesting.
AZIZ (TURNING TO HER) What?
LOLA:
In my time, we thought that high technology, floating islands, robots with artificial intelligence, flying cars were waiting for us in the future.
AZIZ:
There were. Since 2075, the professor has instructed to destroy everything that pollutes the air and has a bad effect on life on Earth. Sometimes he seems like a genius to me. But crazy.
LOLA:
Aren't geniuses a little crazy?
Aziz shrugs his shoulders. And he walks looking at the road.
LOLA (LOOKING AT AZIZ AND CONTINUES TO LOOK AT THE HIGH-RISE BUILDINGS)
What type of people do you belong to? You're not cannibals, but you don't consider yourself vagabonds either. So who are you?
AZIZ:
We are spiritual. We have a goal for survival. Save humanity. The preservation of reason.
LOLA:
And how are you going to save the world together?
MADINA (LOOKING AT HER)
There are more of us than you think. You'll know when you see it. So stop talking a lot.
BUNYOD (LOOKING A LITTLE TO THE SIDE)
Hide.
They're hiding. A little away from them, 5 CANNIBALS are walking towards high-rise buildings. When they have almost reached the high-rise buildings, Bunyod nods his head in the direction of a 2-storey building.
MADINA (WHISPERING) But it's dangerous to stay here.
BUNYOD (ALSO WHISPERING)
We have no other choice. If they see us, we'll have to kill them, and the tramps will come to the noise. Are you ready to risk your life and hers?
He points his head towards Lola. Madina's face turns pale.
LOLA (STAMMERING) W-what do you mean?
BUNYOD:
When you got here, did you see women dressed like that? Do you think they won't touch you just because they don't eat people?
He looks down at her. Lola looks at her sleeveless T-shirt, which is also stuck to her body. She quickly raises her wide-open eyes. She understood. Bunyod points his head towards the 2nd floor.
BUNYOD:
Quickly and quietly.
They also do. Looking around, they enter the house.
INT. ENTRANCE
The heroes open the entrance door and the big web breaks. Taking her aside, they come in. Aziz stays at the door. Lola is with him. Bunyod and Madina, holding a gun in front, go up the stairs.
INT. APARTMENTS
They take turns going into houses and checking. They also close the windows with furniture, a wardrobe, etc.
INT. ENTRANCE
Bunyod and Madina will be back. Bunyod has pieces of a broken door and a stack of books on his hands.
Aziz, looking outside, closes the entrance door from the inside, but also does not take his eyes off the crack that was in the door.
Bunyod throws everything he had in his hands and starts tearing books into pages. Lola looks at it all. She feels sorry. Bunyod tears up books and throws them into one pile, lights them with the help of modern lighters. Lola looks at these instruments with interest.
Madina takes out of her backpack a small bloody bundle wrapped in a cloth. Takes the meat out of it. She throws it right into the fire and closes the door with a flaming piece. Lola looks at the fire. Madina gets up and goes to another floor. She goes up the stairs. Lola looks at the guys. They don't pay attention to Madina's departure. They are busy with their own affairs: Bunyod rips out books and throws them into the fire. And Aziz continues to sit near the door and watch the street. Lola is amazed. She gets up quickly and follows Madina.
INT. 2ND FLOOR ENTRANCE
Lola quickly rises to half and slows down. Looks hiding behind the railing. Madina sits and prays. She reads the prayer. Lola stares without looking away. She's curious. Madina looks to the right side whispering a greeting in Arabic, looks to the left side repeating the same words: "Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatulloh".
Lola hides so as not to frighten Madina. Madina raises her arms together to her chest and makes a dua. She's crying.
MADINA (PRAYING) Please, Allah, accept my prayers. Save people's lives. Give us relief. Forgive us for our sins, for the sins of our ancestors. Reward us with paradise and protect us from a terrible fate.
Lola sits down leaning against the railing and also begins to cry quietly. Raises his hands for prayer high up.
LOLA (WHISPERING)
God save us.
INT. ENTRANCE 1ST FLOOR - A LITTLE LATER
The heroes are sitting near a dying campfire. Madina divides the burnt meat into 4 parts. She gives to Bunyod and Aziz two bigger. And she gives Lola a smaller ones and keeps one for herself. Lola takes the meat in her hands and examines it from all sides. The meat is a little underdone inside. It swallows saliva with difficulty. She's not used to this kind of food. Madina, opening her hands to prayer, makes a dua.
MADINA (SOFTLY)
Accept my post.
She takes a sip of water and bites off the meat. Lola is watching this.
LOLA:
Do you often keep a fast?
MADINA (CHEWING MEAT)
If I don't feel weak and there is an opportunity. We often starve anyway. So why not, if you get a reward for it in the future.
She shrugs her shoulders. She looks at Lola's hand, where she is still twirling the meat.
MADINA (SMILING) Eat already.
LOLA:
And whose is it?
MADINA (GRINNING) Don't worry, it's not human.
Lola smiles and takes a bite. Looking at the fire, she slowly chews. Madina takes a bite of the meat and looks down. Guys also eat their portion.
