Thelma:
(Cutting her off) No mom you were using me to live the life you wanted but couldn’t have, look mom.. (putting her hands on Mrs Arinze’s cheeks).. you thought you were teaching me morals but you didn’t know I was backsliding under your roof.... They say when mothers looks at they’re children they could tell they’re no longer virgins but you couldn’t because you were too busy trying to turn me into someone I know nothing about. ( she drops her hands down)

Mrs Arinze:
(In a bold tone) Listening no one should ever finds outs you’re no longer a virgin okay? (Acting confused) You’re going to do and behave exactly as I tell you to, when we go out, you’re going to..

Thelma:
(Standing up) Mom stop!!! What is wrong with you? (Crying bitterly)

Mrs Arinze:
( Stands up and grabs Thelma by her arms harshly) Listen to me Thelma you will not bring shame and disgrace to me. You’ve alright done enough and I can’t let you continue

Thelma:
(letting go of her grip) Mom you’re hurting me!

(Mrs Arinze slaps Thelma and starts to beat her, Thelma fights back and pushed her to the floor and runs out of the room).











ACT TWO

(Becky sitting on her bed brings out a pregnancy test script from the pack and looks at it for a while, she stands up and walk to the bathroom. After few minutes she comes out crying placing her hands on her stomach.)

(Mrs Arinze sat on her couch holding Thelma’s picture crying. She falls asleep after a while still holding the picture to her chest.)

(Miss Grace brings out a file from the drawer of her bed and smiles, she looks at it for a while and then opens it. After going through all the pages she begins to cry.)

(Mrs Williams standing in front of her drinks collection crying, she took a quick glance at Becky’s picture and back to the bar. She grabs a bottle, opens it and begins to drink.)

(Thelma knocks on the door of Chief Milford’s hotel room and he opens and lets her in with a smile, he looks at her for a while and she smiles and draws him close to her. They begin to kiss and romance. She pushed him to the bed and climbs him; they engaged in a sexual act.)










