96 Minutes Page #6

Synopsis: Inspired by true events, 96 minutes is the story of four young lives slammed together in one shocking moment. The events of the night in inner city Atlanta, Georgia, unfold in real time as we inter-cut between a carjacking and the beginning of that day, following four separate kids - who they are, where they come from, and the seemingly innocuous decisions that lead them towards a life changing conclusion. With no adults to guide them, they're left on their own to try to survive not only this night, but the complex reality of the world they live in.

544

00:
29:23,070 -- 00:29:24,942

Look, you ain't got no daddy,

545

00:
29:25,007 -- 00:29:27,022

so whoever f***ing

your mama right now,

546

00:
29:27,087 -- 00:29:29,214

not including myself, that's

your daddy right now.

547

00:
29:29,279 -- 00:29:30,192

Man, f*** you!

548

00:
29:30,257 -- 00:29:33,372

Yo, ease up. Ease the f*** off.

549

00:
29:33,438 -- 00:29:35,213

Okay, okay,

550

00:
29:35,278 -- 00:29:37,422

go get your

not-your-daddy's car then.

551

00:
29:37,487 -- 00:29:39,037

And then I'm in?

552

00:
29:39,102 -- 00:29:41,182

Patience, kid.

553

00:
29:41,247 -- 00:29:42,621

One step at a time, homeboy.

554

00:
29:43,310 -- 00:29:44,989

I don't know if I can.

555

00:
29:45,055 -- 00:29:47,085

Oh, you so gangster now, you can't

even go get your daddy keys?

556

00:
29:47,150 -- 00:29:48,397

I could get 'em!

557

00:
29:48,462 -- 00:29:51,325

Get the f*** out of here. Go.

558

00:
29:52,734 -- 00:29:54,350

Hey, yo, your boy wilding, bro.

559

00:
29:54,414 -- 00:29:58,045

You not gonna let him in

for real, is you, brah?

560

00:
29:58,110 -- 00:29:58,877

Hell, nah.

561

00:
29:58,942 -- 00:30:00,988

Just f***ing with

the white boy.

562

00:
30:02,302 -- 00:30:04,380

Pow pow!

563

00:
30:06,877 -- 00:30:08,813

50 points.

564

00:
30:13,597 -- 00:30:14,363

How's she doing?

565

00:
30:15,788 -- 00:30:18,283

She really needs

to get to a hospital.

566

00:
30:19,757 -- 00:30:20,844

What's your name?

567

00:
30:25,148 -- 00:30:26,187

Carley.

568

00:
30:26,252 -- 00:30:28,636

Carley, you know where we are?

569

00:
30:28,701 -- 00:30:29,835

Yeah.

570

00:
30:31,596 -- 00:30:34,395

You want to let us know how

to get out of here, Carley?

571

00:
30:38,381 -- 00:30:39,356

I don't know.

572

00:
30:39,420 -- 00:30:41,210

What do you mean

you don't know?

573

00:
30:41,275 -- 00:30:43,786

You're gonna tell us how to

get the f*** out of here.

574

00:
30:44,109 -- 00:30:46,075

Would you shut

the f*** up, Kevin?

575

00:
30:46,139 -- 00:30:48,523

Seriously, Carley, we

don't want to get this

576

00:
30:48,588 -- 00:30:50,873

any more f***ed up than

it already is, do we?

577

00:
30:50,938 -- 00:30:52,779

Are you gonna take her

to a hospital?

578

00:
30:52,844 -- 00:30:55,435

I need you to tell me

where the highway is.

579

00:
30:55,500 -- 00:30:56,873

She really needs

to get to a doctor.

580

00:
30:56,939 -- 00:30:59,033

That wasn't my f***ing

question, now, was it?

581

00:
30:59,179 -- 00:31:01,035

I don't think

that had anything to do

582

00:
31:01,099 -- 00:31:02,602

with what you were asking her.

583

00:
31:11,579 -- 00:31:13,817

Carley.

584

00:
31:13,882 -- 00:31:16,664

Just, um... Just go up here.

585

00:
31:16,731 -- 00:31:18,442

If you keep going straight,

586

00:
31:18,476 -- 00:31:20,201

the highway's on the left.

587

00:
31:20,426 -- 00:31:22,666

You'll see the sign

to the hospital.

588

00:
31:22,731 -- 00:31:24,250

- Yeah?

- Yeah.

589

00:
31:24,314 -- 00:31:26,026

What the f*** we listening

to this b*tch for?

590

00:
31:26,090 -- 00:31:27,561

She don't know sh*t.

591

00:
31:27,626 -- 00:31:28,825

Why you acting like you know

592

00:
31:28,890 -- 00:31:29,945

when you don't know sh*t?

593

00:
31:30,009 -- 00:31:32,248

You know, don't you, Carley?

594

00:
31:32,313 -- 00:31:34,761

Yeah. It's... It's up here.

595

00:
31:34,874 -- 00:31:37,048

You best not be messing

with us, girl.

596

00:
31:37,115 -- 00:31:37,848

Thank you.

597

00:
31:37,913 -- 00:31:39,879

Thank you very much, Carley.

598

00:
31:43,547 -- 00:31:44,664

Yeah.

599

00:
31:44,729 -- 00:31:46,312

Dumb b*tch.

600

00:
31:46,378 -- 00:31:48,568

Man, look for the signs.

601

00:
31:50,089 -- 00:31:52,937

Man, I ain't ever

seen any of this sh*t.

602

00:
31:56,232 -- 00:31:58,791

I don't know

where the f*** we are.

603

00:
31:58,856 -- 00:32:01,415

I'm supposed to be

at dad's right now.

604

00:
32:13,784 -- 00:32:14,935

" ...ball, motherf..."

605

00:
32:15,000 -- 00:32:16,119

" Test, motherf..."

606

00:
32:16,184 -- 00:32:19,239

" Club up, ah, yeah,

'bout to clown. "

607

00:
32:19,305 -- 00:32:20,744

" On the town. "

608

00:
32:20,808 -- 00:32:24,118

" Start off at the shot

that came down. "

609

00:
32:24,183 -- 00:32:25,623

" I got you up always. "

610

00:
32:25,688 -- 00:32:27,415

" I got you crunk always. "

611

00:
32:27,481 -- 00:32:28,950

" I got the dance club. "

612

00:
32:29,016 -- 00:32:30,439

" Club up all day... "

613

00:
32:30,456 -- 00:32:32,966

Man, why they gotta do that?

614

00:
32:33,030 -- 00:32:34,055

What?

615

00:
32:34,120 -- 00:32:37,462

Cut off the lyrics of the song.

616

00:
32:37,526 -- 00:32:39,942

It's the radio.

617

00:
32:40,006 -- 00:32:41,879

I know, but...

618

00:
32:41,943 -- 00:32:46,151

He chose that word to

express himself, you know.

619

00:
32:46,216 -- 00:32:47,911

They shouldn't be able

to do that, man.

620

00:
32:47,976 -- 00:32:50,389

They just trying to keep the

track from being heard.

621

00:
32:51,607 -- 00:32:54,421

Hey, Kevin, you know what?

Then buy the f***ing cd,

622

00:
32:54,486 -- 00:32:56,534

and you get all the

self-expression you want.

623

00:
32:56,598 -- 00:32:58,356

I will, fool.

624

00:
32:58,421 -- 00:33:00,055

Seriously, turn this sh*t down.

625

00:
33:00,120 -- 00:33:02,132

Man, why?

626

00:
33:02,423 -- 00:33:03,702

'Cause I'm trying

to f***ing think, okay?

627

00:
33:03,766 -- 00:33:04,965

You got me in this

f***ing situation.

628

00:
33:05,030 -- 00:33:06,005

Turn this sh*t down.

629

00:
33:06,069 -- 00:33:07,685

I'm trying to think.

630

00:
33:10,438 -- 00:33:13,605

I don't know why I have to tell

you so many f***ing times.

631

00:
33:13,670 -- 00:33:15,461

I turned it down, all right?

632

00:
33:36,869 -- 00:33:37,923

Come on.

633

00:
33:38,548 -- 00:33:40,643

I really just want to go home.

634

00:
33:40,708 -- 00:33:42,324

You've had the shittiest

day on record.

635

00:
33:42,390 -- 00:33:44,260

I'm not gonna let it

end this way.

636

00:
33:44,325 -- 00:33:45,347

You need a beer.

637

00:
33:45,412 -- 00:33:47,268

Can't believe I wrecked my car.

638

00:
33:47,333 -- 00:33:49,186

Oh, you should have

seen the tree.

639

00:
33:49,251 -- 00:33:50,644

Come on. Let's go.

640

00:
33:50,709 -- 00:33:54,212

He's gonna show up here at

some point with that girl.

641

00:
33:54,277 -- 00:33:55,555

Exactly.

642

00:
33:55,620 -- 00:33:56,916

This should be fun.

643

00:
33:58,533 -- 00:34:00,164

Rach, what are

you talking about?

644

00:
34:00,229 -- 00:34:02,355

We're gonna go bust

Mike's next date.

645

00:
34:02,420 -- 00:34:03,635

- No, we're not.

- Yes.

646

00:
34:03,699 -- 00:34:05,170

- No, we're not.

- Yes. It's payback time.
