96 Minutes Page #9

Synopsis: Inspired by true events, 96 minutes is the story of four young lives slammed together in one shocking moment. The events of the night in inner city Atlanta, Georgia, unfold in real time as we inter-cut between a carjacking and the beginning of that day, following four separate kids - who they are, where they come from, and the seemingly innocuous decisions that lead them towards a life changing conclusion. With no adults to guide them, they're left on their own to try to survive not only this night, but the complex reality of the world they live in.

- I'm not your son.

- Do you want...

867

00:
44:19,611 -- 00:44:20,425

...some of this, son?

No! Get out!

868

00:
44:20,490 -- 00:44:22,106

Stop! Get off her!

869

00:
44:22,187 -- 00:44:23,835

What do you think

you're doing? Get... son!

870

00:
44:23,900 -- 00:44:25,579

Kevin, get out! You

piece of sh*t!

871

00:
44:25,644 -- 00:44:27,467

You want some of this?

Son, what did I just say?

872

00:
44:27,533 -- 00:44:29,386

Get out. This is

not your business.

873

00:
44:29,451 -- 00:44:31,337

I'll give you some of this.

Come on!

874

00:
44:31,403 -- 00:44:33,034

Put the sh*t in the bag.

875

00:
44:33,098 -- 00:44:35,115

O... okay, son. Just take it easy.

876

00:
44:35,179 -- 00:44:36,842

Put the sh*t in the bag!

877

00:
44:36,907 -- 00:44:38,283

Let's take it easy.

878

00:
44:38,347 -- 00:44:39,307

Let's take it easy, all right?

879

00:
44:39,372 -- 00:44:40,153

Okay. All right.

880

00:
44:40,218 -- 00:44:41,369

Look at me!

881

00:
44:41,436 -- 00:44:42,907

Kevin, get out. You

piece of sh*t!

882

00:
44:43,036 -- 00:44:43,770

Rodney, get the...

883

00:
44:43,834 -- 00:44:45,322

stay the f*** out of here.

884

00:
44:45,387 -- 00:44:46,537

Rodney... you, shut up!

885

00:
44:46,602 -- 00:44:47,497

Get back here!

886

00:
44:47,754 -- 00:44:48,842

Hurry up, old man!

887

00:
44:48,907 -- 00:44:51,130

Just leave, okay, son, please.

888

00:
44:51,195 -- 00:44:53,129

I'm not your f***ing son!

889

00:
44:53,195 -- 00:44:54,873

Check your boy out.

890

00:
44:54,938 -- 00:44:56,136

He all geeked up,

891

00:
44:56,203 -- 00:44:57,767

like fixing to go wild.

892

00:
44:59,178 -- 00:45:01,800

He ain't about to do nothin'.

893

00:
45:01,865 -- 00:45:03,018

I need a gun.

894

00:
45:03,082 -- 00:45:04,809

What the f***

you gonna do, n*gger?

895

00:
45:04,810 -- 00:45:05,720

What's going on, Kevin?

896

00:
45:05,785 -- 00:45:07,145

I need a gun.

897

00:
45:09,098 -- 00:45:11,848

Why don't we

start you off with this.

898

00:
45:14,569 -- 00:45:15,959

It'll get the job done.

899

00:
45:16,024 -- 00:45:17,880

Kevin. Kevin! Kevin!

900

00:
45:19,304 -- 00:45:20,104

Shut the f***ing door!

901

00:
45:20,169 -- 00:45:22,089

Shut the door! Come on!

902

00:
45:22,153 -- 00:45:24,152

Carley, you shut the door!

903

00:
45:24,217 -- 00:45:26,152

Get in the car!

904

00:
45:26,216 -- 00:45:27,879

Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go!

905

00:
45:41,976 -- 00:45:43,447

What happened?

906

00:
45:46,710 -- 00:45:48,070

I didn't feel like paying.

907

00:
45:48,135 -- 00:45:49,431

You didn't feel like it?

908

00:
45:50,855 -- 00:45:52,039

I mean, I was...

909

00:
45:52,105 -- 00:45:54,582

So I'm standing there

with all this sh*t,

910

00:
45:54,647 -- 00:45:57,238

and I realize,

f***, I got a gun,

911

00:
45:57,303 -- 00:45:58,837

so I ain't gotta pay.

912

00:
45:58,903 -- 00:46:01,735

Did you shoot

the f***ing clerk?

913

00:
46:01,800 -- 00:46:03,863

Nah.

914

00:
46:03,928 -- 00:46:05,445

I just scared him, though.

915

00:
46:08,248 -- 00:46:09,814

You want some of these?

916

00:
46:10,070 -- 00:46:11,718

No.

917

00:
46:11,783 -- 00:46:13,606

I got a 40 in here.

918

00:
46:16,263 -- 00:46:18,422

Hey, girl, you want

some of these?

919

00:
46:24,181 -- 00:46:28,534

So this guy's all "son"

this and "son" that,

920

00:
46:28,598 -- 00:46:30,790

and I ain't

no f***ing son of yours.

921

00:
46:30,854 -- 00:46:31,893

Anyone else in there?

922

00:
46:31,957 -- 00:46:32,807

No.

923

00:
46:35,128 -- 00:46:37,668

You are a f***ing fool.

924

00:
46:37,732 -- 00:46:40,516

F***ing fool! You know that?

925

00:
46:40,581 -- 00:46:42,485

I'm sitting there, trying

to pull damage control,

926

00:
46:42,550 -- 00:46:44,853

and you'll f*** up, and you

gonna pull some sh*t like this?

927

00:
46:44,918 -- 00:46:46,693

You should have brought us to

the f***ing police station

928

00:
46:46,838 -- 00:46:48,901

and just f***ing

throw cuffs on us.

929

00:
46:48,965 -- 00:46:52,245

Dre, it's just

some munchies, man.

930

00:
46:52,310 -- 00:46:53,732

You think this is a joke?

931

00:
46:56,085 -- 00:46:57,492

That clerk saw you.

932

00:
46:57,557 -- 00:46:59,765

He saw your face.

He heard your voice.

933

00:
46:59,829 -- 00:47:00,853

He got you on camera.

934

00:
47:00,917 -- 00:47:02,420

I bet you he saw

the f***ing car.

935

00:
47:02,550 -- 00:47:04,884

Now he's gonna call

the f***ing cops.

936

00:
47:04,949 -- 00:47:06,835

They're gonna be

looking for us.

937

00:
47:06,901 -- 00:47:08,645

Then what? You know

what happens then?

938

00:
47:08,710 -- 00:47:10,435

You know what happens

if we get caught?

939

00:
47:10,629 -- 00:47:11,876

Look behind you.

940

00:
47:13,637 -- 00:47:15,556

It's not a f***ing joke.

941

00:
47:16,518 -- 00:47:18,004

I knew this was a bad idea.

942

00:
47:18,068 -- 00:47:19,524

I knew this was

a f***ing bad idea.

943

00:
47:19,588 -- 00:47:20,755

I'm trying to have your back.

944

00:
47:22,466 -- 00:47:24,132

Why couldn't you

just go in there

945

00:
47:24,198 -- 00:47:25,219

like a regular

f***ing customer,

946

00:
47:25,285 -- 00:47:26,387

in and out, that's it?

947

00:
47:26,451 -- 00:47:27,988

Just 'cause

you got a f***ing gun

948

00:
47:28,053 -- 00:47:29,556

doesn't mean you

gotta f***ing use it.

949

00:
47:29,620 -- 00:47:32,836

We're going away for the rest of our life.

You know that?

950

00:
47:32,948 -- 00:47:34,834

Dre, I didn't

kill him or nothing.

951

00:
47:34,899 -- 00:47:36,627

Well, you should have

f***ing killed him.

952

00:
47:36,691 -- 00:47:38,162

You should have f***ing

finished the job,

953

00:
47:38,164 -- 00:47:39,794

finished it like a man.

954

00:
47:45,444 -- 00:47:47,283

Dre, we cool. It's...

955

00:
47:47,348 -- 00:47:50,146

We're not f***ing cool,

Kevin! Are you serious?!

956

00:
47:54,050 -- 00:47:56,160

We gotta ditch the car.

957

00:
47:56,963 -- 00:47:58,930

It's okay, man. I mean,

958

00:
47:58,995 -- 00:48:01,617

we'll tell J.J., a... and

he'll have to let me in,

959

00:
48:01,683 -- 00:48:02,450

and it's gonna be okay.

960

00:
48:02,514 -- 00:48:03,809

Shut the f*** up, okay.

961

00:
48:03,874 -- 00:48:05,537

I don't want to hear

another word out of you.

962

00:
48:06,946 -- 00:48:08,129

Dre, I'm sorry.

963

00:
48:08,194 -- 00:48:10,369

I'm done

hearing you talk, Kevin.

964

00:
48:13,793 -- 00:48:14,994

Potty training's over.

965

00:
48:15,059 -- 00:48:17,169

I'm not your f***ing

friend right now.

966

00:
48:18,578 -- 00:48:20,369

- Hey, hold up.

- I'm not gonna take it anymore.

967

00:
48:20,434 -- 00:48:22,096

- What happened?

- I'm gonna f***ing kill him.

968

00:
48:22,160 -- 00:48:23,313

Come on, man.

969

00:
48:23,378 -- 00:48:25,873

No, Dre, I'm gonna put a

bullet in his f***ing head.

970

00:
48:25,938 -- 00:48:26,561

Hey! What?

971

00:
48:28,209 -- 00:48:30,674

It ain't worth it, man, okay?

972

00:
48:30,738 -- 00:48:31,888

What do you know?
