INT. HALLWAY - DAY
Bader, Everleigh and Caleb walk down the hallway in their Safety Patrol gear, holding mugs of hot chocolate.
CALEB JOHNSTON:
Can this get any better?BADER:
It just did.Everleigh snickers and high fives Bader.
The three friends walk off, rearing and ready to patrol the school.
Caleb everliegh and Bader had both been selected for the school’s safety patrol program, and they were assigned to work together. They put on their bright orange vests and set out to patrol the halls, looking for any signs of trouble.
As they walked down the hallway, they saw a group of kids gathered around the vending machines, shouting and pushing each other.
Caleb shook his head. “Come on, Bader. Let’s go break it up.”
Together, they approached the group of kids and tried to diffuse the situation.
“Hey guys, let’s calm down,” Bader said, putting a hand on one of the kids’ shoulders. “We don’t want anyone to get hurt.”
The students glanced up at Bader and Caleb, surprised to see the safety patrol working together.
One of the kids stepped forward, his face red with anger. “Who are you guys to tell us what to do?”
Caleb stepped in, keeping his calm. “We’re just trying to make sure everyone is safe. That’s our job.”
The kids grumbled and shuffled away, grudgingly accepting that they had been caught.
Bader and Caleb high-fived each other, feeling proud of their successful intervention.
“You know what, Bader? I think we make a pretty good team,” Caleb said, smiling.
Bader grinned back, feeling a sense of camaraderie with his friend.
“Yeah, I think we do too.”
Unfortunately, accidents do happen. Bader and Caleb were playing basketball during recess when things took a turn for the worse. As they went up for a rebound, Bader’s elbow accidentally caught Caleb’s hand, causing a loud snap.
Caleb groaned in pain, cupping his hand and grimacing. Bader immediately knew something was wrong.
“Oh no,” he said, his eyes widening. “Are you okay, Caleb?”
Caleb shook his head, still gritting his teeth. “I don’t think so. You might have broken my hand, Bader.”
Bader felt a surge of guilt wash over him. He had never hurt anyone before, and the thought that he might have caused serious injury to his friend was too much to bear.
“I’m so sorry,” he said, looking at the ground. “I didn’t mean to do that.”
Caleb tried to shake it off, but his hand was visibly swollen, and he winced whenever he tried to move it.
“It’s okay,” he said, trying to sound reassuring. “Let’s go to the nurse’s office.”
Bader nodded, feeling a sense of dread as they walked across the playground. He knew that he might have just ended Caleb’s basketball season and their friendship.
When they arrived at the nurse’s office, the school nurse examined Caleb’s hand and confirmed that it was broken.
Bader felt tears welling up in his eyes. He had hurt his friend badly, and he didn’t know how to make it right.
Caleb saw the look on Bader’s face and patted him on the shoulder. “It’s not your fault, Bader. Accidents happen. We’ll figure it out together.”
And they did. They helped each other through the tough days ahead, with Caleb wearing a splint on his hand and Bader doing whatever he could to make things right.
In the end, they both learned that accidents happen, but true friendship lasts through thick and thin.
Caleb and Bader were hanging out during lunchtime, brainstorming ideas for their comic book project. They had been assigned to create a short comic strip for their English class, and they were both determined to make something great.
Caleb pulled out his sketchbook and showed Bader his newest comic strip.
“I need spray spray!” he exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear.
Bader nodded, smiling at Caleb’s silliness. Caleb’s comic featured a group of cartoon animals making funny jokes and saying absurd things.
“That’s funny but not cool,” Bader said. “But I think I want to do something different.”
Caleb raised an eyebrow. “What do you mean?”
“I want to create something that’s a little more…edgy,” Bader said with a mischievous grin.
Caleb looked skeptical, but he was curious to see what Bader had in mind.
Bader pulled out his own sketchbook and showed Caleb his latest creation: a comic strip called “Dave and Bambi.”
The comic featured Dave and bambi who always getting into trouble and causing chaos wherever they went.
“It’s a lot funny than I need spray spray” Bader explained. “But I think it could be really cool.”
Caleb nodded, impressed by Bader’s creativity. “This is really good, Bader. I think you’re onto something but i think I need spray spray is better.”
They spent the rest of lunch period brainstorming ideas and sketching out characters for their respective comic strips. By the end of the period, they had come up with some great ideas for their comic book project.
As they packed up their things and left the cafeteria, Caleb turned to Bader with a smile.
“You know what, Bader? You’re a pretty talented guy. I’m glad we’re friends.”
Bader grinned back. “You too, Caleb. You too.”
Bader had been having a tough day at school. He had been feeling frustrated and angry, and he couldn’t shake off his negative mood no matter what he did. As he was leaving school that day, he saw a group of kids playing near a construction site. Without thinking, he started throwing gravel at them, laughing at their reactions.
But Caleb Johnston’s fun was cut short when a woman walking her dog saw what he was doing and ran over to scold him.
“Caleb Johnston What do you think you’re doing?” she exclaimed, her face red with anger.
Bader felt a sinking feeling in his stomach. He knew what he had done was wrong, but he was too ashamed to admit it.
For some reason the lady thinks it was Caleb
The woman looked skeptical but decided to catch up with Caleb and give him a lecture of her own.
bader was confused and didn’t know what she was talking about. But no matter how much he denied it, the woman was convinced that he was the one putting the children in the hole.
The next day, Caleb was called into the principal’s office and told that he was being suspended from safety patrol. He was devastated. He had never been in trouble before, and he didn’t know how to defend himself.
