Bader:
Hey, Caleb. How are you doing?

Caleb:
Well, I was pretty upset after I got suspended from safety patrol, but I wrote some I need spray sprays and I felt better and I even put you in this weeks cartoon and you get to say I need spray spray.

Bader:
Wow, that’s really nice.

Bader:
You think that’s funny? The whole safety patrol thing?

Caleb:
Yeah, kind of.

Bader:
Want to know the funny part? I’m the one who terrorized those kids.

Caleb:
(surprised) What?!

Bader:
Yeah, I think we both can learn some valuable lessons from this.

Caleb:
You know what, Bader? You’re not a good friend.

Bader:
(shocked) How could you even say that? I’m a great friend!

everliegh:
If you were a great friend, you would’ve told Mr. Winsky the truth.

Bader:
Okay, one thing. You can’t get mad at me, but…

Caleb:
(interrupting) You only care about yourself. You hated my cartoon, you made fun of my clothes, and you disrespected Joshie. You broke my hand, and you didn’t even seem sorry.

Bader:
(defensive) That broken hand was the best thing that ever happened to you.

Caleb:
(angry) Don’t call me, don’t come by my house. We’re done.

Caleb and everliegh storm away from Bader, leaving him standing alone in the hallway looking very upset. He looks like he’s about to cry.

CUT TO:

EXT. SCHOOLYARD - DAY

It’s now after school, and the yard is covered in snow. Bader talks in voiceover as he throws a snowball and watches Caleb and Everleigh talking in the distance.

INT. SCHOOL OFFICE - DAY

Bader and Caleb are standing in front of Mr. Winsky’s desk, with Everleigh and Colin nearby. Mr. Winsky looks stern.

MR. WINSKY:
Bader, I’m very disappointed in your behavior. As a member of the safety patrol, you should know better.

BADER:
I’m sorry, Mr. Winsky. I didn’t mean to get Caleb suspended.

MR. WINSKY:
I’m afraid it’s too late for apologies. Caleb, as team captain, you will be responsible for maintaining discipline on the safety patrol.

Caleb looks proud and happy, while Bader looks ashamed.

INT. SCHOOL HALLWAY - LATER

Caleb high-fives Colin and Everleigh, but doesn’t include Bader.

Caleb, Everleigh, and Colin are walking down the hall, talking and laughing. Bader is standing off to the side, watching them, feeling left out.

CUT TO:

EXT. Bader’s Neighborhood, the Next Day

(Caleb walks up to azbury, who is playing outside his house)

azbury:
Hey, Caleb. My mom said it’s okay for you to come and sleep over with me tonight.

(Cut to Bader watching from a distance, looking jealous and angry)

Bader:
(voiceover) You know, The thing with Caleb is I was going to let bygones be bygones. But then he replaced me with azbury just to mess with me. As if I even care if he…

(Bader’s pencil tip breaks)

Bader:
(getting angry in voiceover) Do you know what…?

Bader throws the pencil across the room.

Bader:
(in voiceover) “Two can play that game.”

“.

Bader was having a sleepover at Henry’s house, but he couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off about his new friend. Henry was always doing strange things, like talking to himself and collecting rocks that he found on the ground.

As they were getting settled in for the night, Bader pulled out a bag of candy that he had brought over for a snack. Henry’s eyes lit up with excitement.

Henry:
“Oh wow, candy! I love candy!”

Bader:
Henry no no no no I really think we should save those for later

Henry:
My mom doesn’t let me have sugar because it ruins my diet and reduces hyperactivity but it’s so good

Bader:
sorry Henry I have an appointment which is a homework appointment

But then something strange happened. Henry started picking his nose and he points his finger with the booger at bader

Bader:
Stay away from me

And Henry starts chasing Bader to the bathroom,

At midnight Henry gave him a letter which reads

Dear bader i’m sorry I chased you with the booger on my finger here I put it on this paper so you can get me back

And bader found the booger that he was touching with his thumb

Bader felt a surge of fear. And then bader fainted

Bader tries to get back home he found Caleb Reynolds and bader hugged him

Scene:
Bader finds Shaikha with Slim Z's inappropriate magazine and a tootsie roll.

Bader:
(holding the tootsie roll and Slim Z's magazine) OK, Shaikha, I'm putting this Tootsie Roll in Slim Z's backpack. This is for Slim Z, so whatever you do, don't touch the Tootsie Roll.

Annie:
Baltic said "Bader, coaster" and then caught Shaikha reading Slim Z's magazine. "Shaikha, where did you get that?"

Shaikha:
(her mouth covered in chocolate from eating the tootsie roll) "Mmmphh-mmphh," she pointed at Slim Z's backpack.

Bader:
(returns, smiling) "Oh, my, that's offensive."

Cut to Slim Z and his rap band, Zn8tion, practicing. Annie interrupts.

Annie:
"Slim Z, we need to talk inside now."

Slim Z:
"Come on, talk, we're a band. We have no secrets."

Annie:
(holding up the magazine) "What is this?"

Slim Z:
"It's not mine."

Annie:
"It was in your backpack."

Slim Z:
"No, it was in my room."

Annie:
"How do you feel about owning this type of magazine?"

Slim Z:
(feeling ashamed) "Ashamed."

Annie:
"What do you want to say to women about owning this type of magazine?"

Slim Z:
(feeling ashamed for real) "I'm sorry, women."

(Slim Z's bandmates start clapping)

Annie:
"You're grounded for two weeks,

Slim z:
hey hey hey settle down Annie I think one week is plenty

Annie:
make it four weeks And I'm going to need the keys for your van."

Slim Z:
"My van?"

Bader runs up to his room excited, dancing, saying "Yes, yes, yes!" He tries to call his best friend Caleb Johnston, only to realize that Bader and Caleb broke up. Bader gets depressed and throws his journal on the wall in anger, but luckily the journal survives.

FADE IN:

EXT. SCHOOLYARD - DAY

Bader, a 9-year-old boy, sits on a bench and writes in his journal during recess and Caleb Johnston, Bader’s former best friend, approaches.

Caleb Johnston:
“Hey, Bader, can I have my game back? Collin is having a sleepover and I promised him we would play it together.”

Bader:
“no way finders keepers.”

Caleb Johnston:
“you didn’t find it I left it.”

Bader:
“well Leavers losers,.”

Caleb Johnston:
“That’s not even a real thing.”

Bader:
“It is if I say it is.”

Caleb Johnston:
“my game.”

Bader:
“You wouldn’t even have that game if I hadn’t told you about it. You wouldn’t have any of the cool stuff you have without me.”

Caleb Johnston:
“Yeah, like a broken hand.”

Bader:
“That was like a million years ago.”

Caleb Johnston:
“And it clicks now. Click, click, click. And it’s all your fault.”

Bader:
“it was an accident“

Tashi Anderson, a girl who bullies Bader, joins the conversation.
