Crossover Page #7

Synopsis: A naturally talented basketball player, Noah Cruise is determined to become a doctor using his basketball scholarship to UCLA pre-med, rather than succumb to the lure of former sports agent Vaughn and go for the NBA. His best friend, the buddy that took the fall for him and did the time for an assault charge, Tech, also an outstanding basketball player, has less lofty ambitions: he wants to get his GED and win an underground street ball game against his arrogant rival, Jewelz. Their lives change drastically when they both fall in love with two local girls, Vanessa Lilly and Eboni Jackson, and take fateful trip out to L.A. together.

Like, are you serious this time?

539

00:
41:34,121 -- 00:41:37,420

Look, man, I'm sorry.

Come on, let's play some ball.

540

00:
41:37,792 -- 00:41:40,056

Let's make it happen, captain.

541

00:
41:40,127 -- 00:41:42,027

Go. Come on, come on.

Come on, put some clothes on.

542

00:
41:42,096 -- 00:41:43,358

Did you bring me something to eat?

543

00:
41:43,431 -- 00:41:45,365

Guys, come on. Come on.

544

00:
41:47,602 -- 00:41:51,129

Game! Come on, man. I finally won one!

545

00:
41:51,205 -- 00:41:52,433

Yo, that was luck, sir.

546

00:
41:52,507 -- 00:41:53,974

- Luck!

- It was luck.

547

00:
41:54,041 -- 00:41:56,874

Man, I just crossed the man A.I. Style.

What are you talking about?

548

00:
41:56,944 -- 00:41:58,206

Hey, are you serious?

549

00:
41:58,279 -- 00:42:01,442

You lost four in a row! Your drunk ass

was bound to get lucky once!

550

00:
42:01,516 -- 00:42:02,676

Like that? All right.

551

00:
42:02,750 -- 00:42:05,218

So why don't you and your man

put your money where your mouth is?

552

00:
42:05,286 -- 00:42:09,086

I bet me and...

I bet me and four-eyes over there

553

00:
42:09,156 -- 00:42:12,853

can beat Tweedledee and Tweedledum

in a two-on-two.

554

00:
42:12,927 -- 00:42:15,191

You talking about Shorty right here

with the glasses on?

555

00:
42:15,263 -- 00:42:16,662

You know it.

556

00:
42:17,331 -- 00:42:21,358

Yo, Shorty! Yo, four-eyes! Yo, man.

You want to come run one?

557

00:
42:21,435 -- 00:42:22,629

Whose team am I on?

558

00:
42:22,703 -- 00:42:25,171

- Just bring your little ass over here.

- Come on over here and cut me the talk.

559

00:
42:25,239 -- 00:42:28,072

Come on, man. Give me the ball.

560

00:
42:28,242 -- 00:42:31,006

I'm talking "the Truth" right now.

Get going.

561

00:
42:31,412 -- 00:42:33,312

Check the ball. Check the ball.

562

00:
43:07,181 -- 00:43:09,513

Come on, man.

Come on, I'm taking all my jewelry off.

563

00:
43:09,584 -- 00:43:13,042

- Play defense.

- Come on, I'm taking all my jewelry off.

564

00:
43:13,788 -- 00:43:15,119

Come on.

565

00:
43:48,823 -- 00:43:50,347

Best game of my life.

566

00:
43:50,424 -- 00:43:51,652

All right, double or nothing.

567

00:
43:51,726 -- 00:43:53,455

- Let's run another one.

- Yeah.

568

00:
43:53,527 -- 00:43:54,755

I can't. I can't.

569

00:
43:54,829 -- 00:43:56,353

I got to go to the store for my mom.

570

00:
43:56,430 -- 00:43:57,920

You gotta go to the store for your mama?

571

00:
43:57,999 -- 00:44:01,025

Yeah, I was supposed to go earlier,

but I wanted to watch your game.

572

00:
44:01,102 -- 00:44:02,091

Good game, little man.

573

00:
44:02,169 -- 00:44:03,727

- Hey, Shorty!

- Shorty, ain't no good game...

574

00:
44:03,804 -- 00:44:05,169

- Hey, no, no, no.

- Hey, give me my money.

575

00:
44:05,239 -- 00:44:07,605

- This looks like a set-up.

- Give me my money, chump!

576

00:
44:07,675 -- 00:44:09,108

Here, man.

577

00:
44:11,078 -- 00:44:14,047

That one smells like Vivica Fox. Halle Berry.

578

00:
45:46,640 -- 00:45:48,403

Hey, this is nice. Real nice.

579

00:
45:48,476 -- 00:45:51,343

I'm glad you like it, baby.

It's my favorite place.

580

00:
45:54,849 -- 00:45:57,113

There something you wanna tell me?

581

00:
45:57,184 -- 00:45:59,311

My friend hasn't come

to visit me this month.

582

00:
45:59,386 -- 00:46:02,355

- What friend?

- My period. My friend.

583

00:
46:03,724 -- 00:46:04,782

Wow.

584

00:
46:08,896 -- 00:46:13,060

Look, babe, I love you. Okay?

585

00:
46:13,868 -- 00:46:18,202

And whatever happens, happens.

I just want you to be a part of my life.

586

00:
46:19,039 -- 00:46:22,406

- So you're not mad?

- I've never had much of a family.

587

00:
46:22,943 -- 00:46:25,207

All I've had is Ma'Dere

since my mother died.

588

00:
46:25,279 -- 00:46:27,645

I don't wanna be like them

other cats out there.

589

00:
46:27,715 -- 00:46:29,740

And if we're gonna have a baby,

I wanna do it the right way.

590

00:
46:29,817 -- 00:46:31,717

I want to get married.

591

00:
46:31,786 -- 00:46:33,048

Are you serious?

592

00:
46:33,120 -- 00:46:37,284

Yeah. Let's move to L.A.

I'll go to medical school, and...

593

00:
46:38,425 -- 00:46:40,154

So, is that a yes?

594

00:
46:42,863 -- 00:46:44,057

Yes.

595

00:
46:46,033 -- 00:46:49,196

Baby, you planned this all along?

You knew you were gonna propose?

596

00:
46:49,270 -- 00:46:51,329

No, no. I didn't order no champagne.

597

00:
46:51,405 -- 00:46:53,635

Compliments of the gentleman.

598

00:
46:56,644 -- 00:46:59,875

This is what the refs consider

a make-up call.

599

00:
46:59,947 -- 00:47:01,642

It's to apologize for the other day.

600

00:
47:01,715 -- 00:47:03,706

Thanks, man,

but I think that we're all right...

601

00:
47:03,784 -- 00:47:06,753

And who is this beautiful young lady?

602

00:
47:07,555 -- 00:47:10,922

This is my fiance. Vanessa, Vaughn.

Vaughn, Vanessa.

603

00:
47:15,196 -- 00:47:17,130

Can I talk to you for a minute?

604

00:
47:17,198 -- 00:47:18,324

Baby, I'm...

605

00:
47:18,399 -- 00:47:22,563

No, no! Stay.

You're his fiance, you should hear this.

606

00:
47:23,470 -- 00:47:24,732

You sure?

607

00:
47:25,072 -- 00:47:28,098

- So, you're talking about going pro?

- Hey, what else is there to talk about?

608

00:
47:28,175 -- 00:47:31,338

How come you're not talking to Jewelz?

He's your number one boy, right?

609

00:
47:31,412 -- 00:47:34,904

Jewelz doesn't have what it takes.

See, he's the king of the jungle.

610

00:
47:34,982 -- 00:47:38,713

He knows where he fits in,

and he has no problem with that.

611

00:
47:42,523 -- 00:47:46,118

There are a lot of fruits in the jungle

where he rumbles.

612

00:
47:46,393 -- 00:47:50,454

Sweet ghetto queens, monster trucks,

loads of bling-bling.

613

00:
47:50,798 -- 00:47:52,732

The boy shines like a light.

614

00:
47:52,800 -- 00:47:57,066

But, man, you've got this gift.

The greatest game never seen.

615

00:
47:57,137 -- 00:48:00,163

And that face? Look at that.

Clean-cut, endorsement-friendly.

616

00:
48:00,241 -- 00:48:01,902

Boy, he's gorgeous, ain't he?

617

00:
48:01,976 -- 00:48:03,967

- Yeah, he is.

- Talk to me.

618

00:
48:07,314 -- 00:48:10,772

All right.

You know I used to be a sports agent, right?

619

00:
48:10,851 -- 00:48:13,820

- Yeah, man, I heard rumors.

- So I know some scouts.

620

00:
48:13,888 -- 00:48:18,018

We get you into one of their camps.

You've got two, three teams to choose from.

621

00:
48:18,092 -- 00:48:22,290

All in climate-friendly places.

Spring, summertime, year round.

622

00:
48:22,363 -- 00:48:26,094

- And if all I get is a suntan, then what?

- Then what, what?

623

00:
48:26,166 -- 00:48:30,000

There are ten guaranteed contracts,

and five of them are open.

624

00:
48:30,070 -- 00:48:31,367

Look, son, I got faith in you.

625

00:
48:31,438 -- 00:48:33,269

I know that you gonna do

really good at camp

626

00:
48:33,340 -- 00:48:35,467
