Hans – What time is it.

Jay – It’s around 2 P.M, you’ve had six hours of sleep, that should be more than enough.

Hans – I need coffee, in fact we need to take a lot of food and coffee with us.

Jay – I thought of that, I weigh a ton, I guy like me needs fuel.

Lizy knocks on the door, she has a bass ball cap on and a pair of sunglasses.

Hans – Come in, we were expecting you, you’re on time.

Lizy – Are we all set to go.

Jay – Almost, we need to hire a truck, a good truck, we’re a long way from our mission impossible. We also need to buy some weaponry; we can’t fight them with pots and pans.

Hans – I Know just the place, but first we need the Truck.

Hans grabs the phone and starts making his calls.

Truck Shop – Hello this is Truckers Hire Port; how can I help.

Hans – I’m looking to hire a truck for a couple of nights, long journey, it must be large enough to carry a lot of equipment, four seats, for passengers, I need it by this evening.

Truck shop – I’ve got just the one for you, you need to bring ID, driving licence, and we need payment in full on arrival.

Hans – No problem, I’ll be there around six today.

Truck shop – Can I take your name and phone number.

Hans browses through the internet and finds a weapons store, Jay starts to show interest, his eyes light up, a small grin appears on his face.

Jay – Look at that one isn’t she a beauty.

Lizy – You’re not browsing through porn again are you.

Jay – Almost, six inches and loaded, Hans how much is that one on sale for.

Hans – We can’t buy any of the big guns, we’re going to have to hire.

Jay – It would be nice to own one, though wouldn’t it.

Hans picks up the phone and makes a few phone calls.

Hans – We’re ready to go, will pick up the truck first then make our way to the weapons store.

Jay – I’ve never felt so alive in all my life, look we’ll be famous when it’s over.

Lizy – Don’t look so happy, we could also be dead.

Hans – Everyone ready? good let’s go, we’ll use my car to get us to the truck rental store.

The three step out of Hans’s apartment and make their way to his red Chrysler parked on his driveway.

Lizy – Do any of you get the feeling, that we might be making a big mistake.

Jay – No not really, if you have second thought, now is the time, you can leave.

Lizy – No second thought, I’m fully committed to our mission.

Hans – Good, we need a third person, remember we’re out numbered, we just collect information and hand what we find to the government and let them do the rest.

Lizy – Got it, but what do we know so far.

Hans – Very little, certainly not enough to convince the government, files and maps are not enough, we need hard evidence, photos of the plane, passengers, the guards, the space shuttle, the scientists, more files. Basically, anything to build a case, I think the task of taking photos should be assigned to Lizy. Me and Jay we’ll break in first, take out if you guard of we must.

Jay – No problem, I was the national wrestling champion for five years, I think I can handle the situation.

Hans – Ok, here we are, stay in the car, I’ll be back in a minute.

Hans enters the Truck rental store, he walks in inspects the place for a short while, notices a guy at the counter speaking on the phone, Hans walks over and waits for his attention.

Store guy – How can I help.

Hans – I’m here to pick up the truck, my name is Hans Miller.

Store guy – Oh yes, here you are on our system, can I see your ID please.

Hans – There it is.

The store guy inspects the ID closely then hands it back to him with a smile and a nod of acceptance.

Store guy – Here are the keys, your truck is parked in parking bay seven, the tank is half full, we expect the tank to be either half full on return, or money for fuel, have nice day.

Hans – I will do, thank you, have a good day Sir.

Jay – This is a nice piece of machine.

Hans – It’s a Truck Jay, not a machine, right load everything into the back and I’ll cover the trunk.

Lizy – I’ll sit in the back; more space for me.

Hans – Don’t get too comfortable, we don’t know if we’ve been followed, God knows the press had no trouble finding us.

Jay – Enough with the talk, step on it.

Hans – One last stop at the weapons store, and that about makes us ready for the long drive.

Lizy – I was thinking, why did the Germans wait that long, eighty years to launch their mission.

Hans – Simple, eighty years ago, there would have been no space shuttle, to take the select VIP out into Orbit, they must have had it in their mind, but the technology wasn’t their yet.

Lizy – I guess neither was the chemicals for the war, did they give it a name.

Hans – According to the file, the chemical is called Ziclon-B compound.

Jay – Sounds like trouble to me.

Lizy opens the rear window and lights a cigarette.

Hans – I don’t mind you smoking for now, but that’s strictly forbidden when we get there.

Jay – But why Canada, surly Germany would have been closer to home.

Hans – You mean the space Shuttle? I don’t know, but we need to know where the Ziclon-B compound laboratory is, once we’ve found that, we’re on track and the race against time.

Lizy – Assuming there is a Laboratory.

Hans – There it is, that’s our last stop, I’ll collect the weapons, won’t be long

Hans sees the security guard at the entrance, he says hello to him, smiles politely and walks casually to the counter, a six-foot-tall old man, with a hulk hogan moustache smoking a cigar with a heavy accent, looks Hans in the eye without blinking.

Store owner – What can I do for you Sir.

Hans – My name is Hans Miller, we spoke on the phone earlier today, I’m hear to collect two long range semi-automatic, and one small hand held gun.

Store owner – Can I see your ID and Licence to be in possession of firearm.

Hans – Yes certainly, here is my driving licence, and here is my firearms licence.

Hans – Take your time.

The store owner returns with the weapons and a case load of bullets.

Store owner – Here you go, you must leave a deposit of $500, on return we keep the deposit and deduct the final amount of $500. Stay safe.

Hans – I will and have a nice day.

The weather gets bad, rain, thunder and wind, Hans loads the weapons in his truck and drives off into the night.

Jay – Well that’s shopping done, how about we pullover at a service station rest up for the night have something to eat.

Lizy – Good idea.

Hans – Sure, but we can’t stay long, four too five hours sleep at the most, then we’re back on the road.

Jay – Great, look two miles to the service station, they have rooms for rent.

They drive into the service station and spend the night there. Three separate rooms were rented for the night. As Hans rested in his bed he hears a knock on the door, he looks through the key and sees Lizy.

Hans – Come in, what is the matter.

Lizy – Not much, I couldn’t sleep, feeling a little scared I guess and lonely.

Hans – You have good reason to feel scared, but you amaze me for having the courage to go through with it.
